Hey everyone!  Here it is - my reaction to Red vs. Blue season 15, episodes 8 - 10!!! WHOA!!!!  I'm so glad my Spidey sense started tingling in this one!  I really thought I'd just gotten jaded and paranoid....but no!!!  Who in the heck is this Temple?!  It's gotta be someone from Freelancer right?!!?  The James Bond style lair and execution style was so over the top....the nasty rotting smell of the other Freelancers, ick!!!
There were lots of bright spots here too though, with everyone getting to know their "counterpart", the play on words of their names, etc.!  Dang guys, what the heck is going on?!!?  Guess we'll find out!  Great eps!  Enjoy!  ~ MH

“It’s not paranoia if they’re really after you.” I see you got the running gag with the names, but it is pretty funny watching all of them deal with alternate versions of themselves. I mean, Simmons in particular is having a hard time, but is the universe truly ready for two Sarges… AND two Cabooses? One thing you should keep in mind is that we don’t nearly as much about Carolina’s story except for when she’s been on screen, and she didn’t make her first appearance in the show until Season 9. That’s all I’ll say about that. Hey look, Temple is collecting life size… action figures… in his.. underground… lair… Any red flags? And if this is truly the original sim trooper team… why is one character conveniently absent? Hmm… Oh, and in true Rooster Teeth fashion we do in fact have a ship name for Carolina and Washington. It’s pretty obvious. I won’t give it away just now though. Here’s your hint: (3+4). I’ll let you think about that for a while. I should stop now, I’m pretty sure that cliffhanger (which I proudly take credit for 😁) made you spill all your brain beans!

I loved Carolina's conversation with Wash about Illinois and York. About him being her second chance. The song that plays during the beginning of the episode is the same song that played during York's message to Carolina, Carolina In The Morning. Sad Fact: When Church and Carolina visited the area where York's body was in Season 10, you see a burnt imprint of where his body was and his lighter next to him. I think Carolina picked up his lighter and kept it ever since. On the topic of the final Season of RvB, Burnie Burns, the creator of RvB, is coming back to write for it, in my opinion so that the series can get the sendoff it deserves. And I can't wait to experience it and also see you experience it eventually.

I know, me too! Ohhhh no kidding about the song :O Ooof.....I think you might be right about how she got the lighter. So sad! YES!! I heard about the final season!!! I can't wait!! I'm not exactly sure on the timing but I'm thinking I might be caught up in time to watch it in real time depending on when it comes out!

Lol!! True :P It's amazing seeing them with their mirror images isn't it?? Hmmmm.....interesting about Carolina.....!!! I have to say, I wouldn't have been suspicious about anything regarding her, but that makes me curious! Yikes.....that's one twisted figure collection....!!! Right?! I was wondering the same thing about why they're short one person. I have no idea what that could mean about the ship name haha.....does it have to do with syllables in their names?? I'll have to think about that one....after I'm done collecting my brain beans off the floor! You knocked it out of the park with that batch planning!!!!!!!!

I don't know how to feel about season 19 being announced. RvB was a formative show for me, and was a passion of mine for a decade. I mean, I still search Youtube for reactions, and subscribe to Patreons of people who're in the process of watching it. But the last few seasons have chilled that, from "I love Red vs Blue" down to "I like Red vs Blue, except for Zero". I'm old enough now to know that it won't be like it was when I was a teenager, even with Burnie writing. I guess, TLDR, I wish I was more excited than I am. Yet another thing I'd forgotten about this season: Temple almost immediately outs himself as the bad guy. No slow burn like Felix, 3 episodes in and he's locking people in their armor to starve to death. The water recycling systems in their armor must be fantastic if it takes that long. Something I might have just noticed for the first time, there's a corpse statue with a rum bottle, heavily implying that it's Illinois.

I hear you! You're coming from a whole different experience than me with this show, so I can totally see how you would feel that way! Here's hoping that maybe you end up enjoying it more than how the news about it made you feel! No matter what, there will always be those stellar seasons you have been so passionate for! True, Temple just couldn't contain himself lol. Yeah the process is intense. Ohhhh I didn't notice that but figured he must be there if he was missing! Poor Illinois! :O

Seeing the Freelancers like that was so sickening, especially Illinois when we’d just heard about him. I’m really interested to see where this story’s going with the little I’ve heard, but it’s at least been fun.

This is a great set of episodes. I really like episode 8 as the introduction to the Blues & Reds. I love that Caboose and his counterpart are kind of the ambassadors for both groups. I do like the cool walk up. It’s really interesting that the other group were also simulation soldiers because we did know that but really interacting is a different story. I love the similar but different names especially Gene because of the reference to Gene Simmons. Their story is interesting but it does make you wonder why they needed to attack that base at the start of the season. The team work we see between the 2 groups is awesome. Their underwater hide out is pretty cool. It’s interesting to see our characters interact with other characters that are similar to them. I especially love Sarge & Surge exchanging sayings. It’s nice to see Doc again & very interesting to hear that these guys existed a long time before our guys especially because of Dylan talking about the word prototype being mentioned. I think a lot of us watching this season as it came out were suspicious of the Blues & Reds because of certain things they were saying especially how obvious it was that temple was trying to get Tucker on his side. I think episode 10 is great even if I have some problems with it. I really love the contemplative/introspective nature of Carolina & Wash’s conversation reflecting on the past. Still makes me sad thinking about York. My problem is mostly on me because as I see or love their relationship as found family/best friends and it feels like the writers were having it be a possible ship which I don’t like personally. It’s still a beautiful scene especially because of how it leads to her wanting to solve things peacefully. Washington’s idea of a trap is really clever & as we see from the end of the episode turns out he did lead the enemy right to them. As soon as Temple started opposing getting the story out there my suspicions increased so much. What Temple is actually doing is horrifying & the reveal feels like a horror movie. I think the worst part is how he is basically keeping trophies of the people he has killed. Even though I like theatrical villains I don’t like Temple’s brand of theatrical but I can admit he very threatening. I like the way the writers brought the armor lock technology into this. It looks like some of the freelancers were completely caught off guard by this trap and some went on the offensive but it was too late for all of them. Being stuck in that situation sounds horrible I can’t even imagine. And don’t worry everyone was trying to figure out who this guy was & think of details I don’t think anyone was able to fully figure it out although there were many ideas. Also you’re not paranoid if you’re right LOL. Awesome reaction & interesting thoughts. Keep up the great work. :-) <3

I love the way they built up to meeting our crew!!! And it's so sweet and fitting that the Cabooses here would be the liaisons lol. The names were amazing, omg the Gene Simmons reference haha! Sarge and Surge's exchange was so good. It's interesting that folks watching in real time were suspicious about the Blues and Reds early on. Isn't it crazy to think they were around for longer! Always great seeing Doc too. Carolina and Wash's conversation was such a great scene. Omg, I know, York!!! :( I can see how you wouldn't want this to go in a ship direction. I think they've left it open for interpretation here but I know lots of people do ship them. I love the idea of them as family/platonic, although I wouldn't mind a ship too. I'm kind of in the middle on it! Leave it to Wash to come up with a great plan! The reveal of what's actually going on was soooo creepy!!! The addition of armor lock was a nice touch too. Doesn't that sound awful!? Like of all the ways to go lol. Hahahahaha there you go, I'm not paranoid if I'm right, that should be my new motto :P I'm so happy you enjoyed my reaction! I'm slowly making my way through your comments and it's so fun to relive RvB through your comments here! I'm happy to hear what you though and also have a chance to chat about RvB again, I miss it!!!!! Thanks again for being so awesome and patient ^_^
