Hey everyone!  I'm back with Jujutsu Kaisen season 2, episode 3!  WHOA!!!!!!!!!!!
This episode really went off the rails, what the heck!!!!!!!  All the grotesque violence against Gojo.....and Riko :O :O :O  All this time it looked like the dad was just chilling, but he had everything carefully planned and stayed several steps ahead.  Also, poor Riko, finally realizing what she really wanted to do only to be shot :(((((  I don't think Tengen is gonna take this very well!  Neither will Geto!!!!!  Wow!  Can't wait for more!  Enjoy!  ~ MH

I can't believe Toji cut off that nice slice of life background music. The bastard.

Also, a heavenly pact was mentioned in season 1. It's kinda like what Maki has. You are born with little to no ability to use cursed energy but in exchange you get something else, like extreme physical prowess.

Hello Melissa, i've been waiting for your reaction to this episode all day and had to stop myself from watching it beforehand. But I persevered and experienced everything just as blindly as you. It's now 1:00 am in the morning and I don't know how to sleep after this totally shocking episode. I fell so bad for Riko. She had her whole life ahead of her. It felt like that shot pierced though my heart. My jaw was on the floor.😭 They really did us dirty with that fake out ED. And the first half of the episode was so hilarious and fun... Mappa is really out there with the animation! It was unusual to see Gojo being overpowered like that. Now let's see how they deal with Toji and why they went separate ways in the end. P.S I love your Stardust Crusaders shirt. It looks very nice.👍

Hi, Melissa! Just to let you know, that dragon isn't Tengen, it's a curse Geto controls. We saw it flying by the airplane earlier in the episode too.

You rarely watch stuff as it airs, so I’ll let you know that this episode hit the #1 spot on the charts for last week’s offerings (Fri-Thu releases). So… um… I’m getting whiplash. I kinda feel like we rolled an episode and a half into one. First, Kuroi is kidnapped and then all of a sudden, the four of them are suddenly on a beach in Okinawa? It’s almost like the show moved on without telling us what happened and then came back and said, “oh yeah, we resolved that.” Also never let Gojo be a flight inspector…! I wonder if there’s a significance to all the aquarium visuals surrounding Riki, they were coming up a lot. One of the benefits of knowing what happens in the future can also be a curse because things like this episode make you start to wonder “how did we possibly get from there to here?” “I can feel my blood pressure just melting away…” Jujutsu Kaisen: “okay guys, she’s totally relaxed - time to kill Gojo with no warning!” “Well, at least we know Riko is going to be safe…” /gets shot in the head ten seconds later. To pull a og Caboose quote, sort of “Would you stop saying things ten seconds before (they’re disproven!?”) You really are kind of cursing things today aren’t you? XD Also Toji has ZERO cursed energy yet he took Gojo to school, what’s up with that? And I’m wondering if watching Riko get killed right in front of him will have a bearing on Geto’s upcoming turnabout? Also that’s not Tengen, it’s the same cursed spirit that Geto had on top of the plane. Well, man, two deaths in one episode… although I’m pretty sure one isn’t gonna stick. In fact, I’m pretty sure Gojo will get off the ground next episode, still sliced open, and just comment, “Tis but a flesh wound…!” You know, I thought Jojo had the monopoly on the insanity level, apparently Jujutsu Kaisen took it as a personal challenge this week? Good grief, what next…? 😅

Before the shot he reassures her “we are the strongest”. I don’t even wanna say that that’s overconfidence. They have their ways to go as users but they know it. It seems they’re dumped with pretty heavy stuff on a regular basis. Even more than average students. At least that’s how it felt these 3 episodes. Their solution to protect was confirmation they were ready to tackle that heavy duty for the rest of Riko’s life. Call it overconfidence but I really don’t think they ever faced someone who could get passed them, especially Gojo. Geto was so surprised to see Toji standing there. Wow! Not cool in the slightest!

Hi Hime :) Nanami in these young years will already have to work overtime thanks to Gojo lol. But I'm glad to find our Nanami even for just a few seconds. Yu, the one who accompanies Nanami, is never seen during the period of Yuji and the others, so it's normal that he doesn't remind you of anything, don't worry. Toji has a heavenly pact, the same thing as Maki, except he's in his thirties or forties and has spent his whole life training, so he's obviously powerful. To try to understand Toji a little too, you have to remember how Maki and Mai were treated within the clan. The Zenin Clan is a retrograde ahole group that values cursed energy above all. So Toji's life must not have been well regarded during his years within the clan (even if for Maki, being a woman adds to her burden). But what is ironic is that despite the fact that Toji is "a waste" for the Zenin clan, he is surely the only one of the clan at this precise moment able to hurt Gojo like that. Certainly a tired Gojo, but still. Now, on a better note, can we talk about the friendship between "Satoru" and "Suguru"? You can really see that Geto cares about Gojo and that Gojo trusts and relies on Geto for the rest and at the end, when Toji says he killed Gojo... Of course Geto is angry because Riko has just been killed, but hearing that Gojo is dead makes him go into rage mode instantly. It's quite sad to see that when you know how it ends in the movie Zero, but we can also appreciate that. And then the voice acting also gives a nice dimension to all that, I know there is a compilation of Geto saying "Satoru" because that way of saying it makes their relationship even cuter and doesn't help the shippers not to imagine Geto and Gojo together lol. Must say that Takahiro Sakurai, does a great job on Geto, just like he did on our beloved Reigen Arataka in Mob Psycho. But yes, despite what just happened, I prefer to just give you this warning, keep all that you may have felt in mind, because the Shibuya arc, which marks the return to the present, will be even harder to watch than that.

I know right?!?! Like I was still sizing him up before this ep but now I don't want anything to do with him! Poor Riko :((((( That's the thing, I think Geto and Gojo both were really confident, with good reason, but wow. I don't think they had faced anyone who posed this kind of threat. Geto was shocked!!! Definitely not cool :((((

Oh no, this one is definitely not going to help you sleep!!! :( Riko :(((( It was such a shocking moment, and so heartbreaking after the scene we'd just experienced. I know, the fakeout was cruel! To think the ep ended like this after how it started out! Mappa did a great job here!!! Wasn't it crazy to see Gojo in a situation like this?? I can't wait to see what happens next! Awww thank you about my shirt - in my Jojo reactions on Monday, I show it off a little more so you can see the whole thing!!! ^_^ I have more merch on the way LOL!

Whoa, not surprising that it took the #1 spot! Seriously, what the heck just happened?! Yeah I thought for sure there was gonna be some kind of foul play with a jump like that right to the beach. Honestly the first thing I thought was that when we see Geto in the future, sometimes he's in this weird alternate reality thing with all his curses on the beach :O Hahahah Gojo the flight inspector!!! Yeah I have a feeling there was some significance about the underwater theme. Maybe feeling like she was in a fishbowl her whole life? You know that saying where people say it's like they've been focused on/watched their whole lives? Idk. Exactly, having the start and end point both in mind makes you wonder what the heck happened in between. Hahaha dang I need to stop saying things like this!!! I'm a curse on this show full of curses :O Seriously what on earth has Toji done to get this strong with no cursed energy!?!?! That's what I'm thinking about Geto, this will affect him. Oops, sorry about the mixup with Tengen, you know how I get! Thanks for clearing it up! LOL I have no doubt Gojo will just bounce right back haha but man, the way they got us with that second death...!! DANG, JJK is giving Jojo a run for its money this week, what the heck!!!! Yare yare daze :P

Hi Spadeas! :) Omg you're so right about Nanami! But yeah, it was so nice to see him! Okay good, I thought maybe I was missing something with Yu! Thank you! Right, makes sense that this is a similar situation to Maki's, only in this case he has way more experience. That's true about the Zenin clan, they didn't seem very nice, particularly about someone lacking in cursed energy. I know, it's crazy to think Toji did that with no cursed energy! Even if Gojo was worn out, that's still insane. I love their friendship!!! The way they understand and rely on each other is sweet to watch. But yeah, I knew Geto would go into rage mode as soon as he knew about Gojo. It's crazy to think of where we end up with these two. I agree about the voice acting! The shippers must be loving this, they certainly do make a cute couple haha. WHAT!!!! Geto's VA is Reigen's?!?!!?!? Wooooowww!!! OMG!!! That's an eerie warning for sure!!! I'm not ready :O

Suffice to say that you heard him more often than you thought maybe ^^.
