Hey everyone!  Here it is - my reaction to Red vs. Blue season 15, episodes 19 - 21!!! WOW!!!
What a finale!!  You guys, I feel like this had a little bit of everything - comedy, closure, drama, action, etc.!!!  To think that we got such great character arcs and moments that culminated in this ep, even for people we didn't think we'd go that deep with, like Grif.  I loved seeing everyone fighting their counterparts, but the Loco scene made me sad!!!  He was a true friend....and he made sure Caboose got to say goodbye :((((((  Also Vic!!!  I hope he's at peace now!  When he started giving the speech, I think you can hear my heart snap lol.  So we've wrapped up every loose end on this show - from Freelancers, to UNSC, to Chorus - and our crew has come such a long way.  Plus Wash is gonna be ok, YAY!!!  Where on earth do we go from here?  Guess we'll find out!!!   Great season and great eps!  Enjoy!  ~ MH

The ability to punch a tank's engine til it explodes has been a part of Halo since the second game. The concept is that between power armor and genetic engineering the Spartan 2s are so strong they can beat a vehicle into pieces. It's less believable when it's Tucker. As we see here. They've used the mechanic for story reasons before, but they've never drawn attention to it in this way in the past. I'd forgotten just how much setup for The Shizno Paradox was in this finale. Usually when people group the seasons into arcs, Blue vs Red (season 15) and Shizno Paradox (seasons 16 and 17) are listed separately. This is also, sadly, the last season I watched week to week as it came out. I'd like to go on a whole rant about how it just wasn't as good anymore, but I knew that and I was watching anyways. But at this point, RT stopped putting their most famous shows on YouTube to try and sell First memberships. RWBY too. And their mobile app was garbage at the time. They made it actively annoying to watch the stuff people really wanted to see. You were a little distracted, but you got to hear Carolina's singing "skills" in the credits. The song is about their time in retirement, and it's clear the voice actor is singing badly on purpose to stay in character.

There aren't any lyrical tracks for Season 15

I kind of agree with you that Season 15 does feel like a series finale - but I believe you misinterpreted me earlier. This arc spans Seasons 15 to 17. Also the upcoming season is actually number 20. More on that later. Regarding this batch: first, the grunts are VERY despicable - but for all the terrible things they were saying? As a Rideshare driver, NOT USING YOUR TURN SIGNAL IS UNFORGIVABLE. Also the “leaf on the wind” is a reference to a cult show favorite, “Firefly.” If you haven’t seen it, put it on the potential reaction list. If you have… you should know already. And then there’s the scene with Caboose and Church - but like all the scenes even their goodbye speech is dripping with awkwardness. Remember what Tex said about goodbyes? Sarge vs Surge is dripping with action one liners of course, and of course the death blow would come when one wasn’t looking. Also Simmons and Gene pulling out the Darth Maul comment? Don’t invoke that kind of terror on this reactor! XD Vic is on his way out the door, but he is indeed doing the Epsilon goodbye speech - the music is even a happy 8-bit version of the original. Also - both Church and Vic are the same VA. This is the goofy version. Where do we go from here? Everything’s wrapped up neat and tidy… but you did fail to notice one thing. Something STRANGE happened to one character, and it happened so fast you may not have thought much of it. I’ll leave that for you to figure out. Because this show is gonna make like Darth Maul and reboot itself into another season. :D

I loved that! Caboose getting to say goodbye was really sweet and somber. And Vic’s/Church’s hit really hard in the right place. All these goobers from season 1 making such grown up decisions and taking one for the team just . . . they really came a long way. I honestly don’t know how they could have wrapped this up any better, it was really marvelous. Everyone had their moments to shine. I’m kind of scared for the next season because I don’t don’t know what “the end of red and blue as we know it” actually means but I’m all for it. Let’s do it!

Ohhhh okay! Thanks for clearing that up! Oh that's interesting about how the show was airing at this time, and also about how there's a lot of setup here for the next arc. Ohhhhh that was Carolina!!!!! Someone mentioned she'd be singing in the finale!!! Ohhhh I have to go back and hear it now haha. That's awesome!!

kamenriderhime

Ohhh ok, thanks for clearing that up! Omg not using a turn signal is bad anyway, but in your line of work it's gotta be even worse to deal with!! OHHHH I saw Firefly and Serenity ages ago, I didn't remember that line, oops! I know, the goodbye scene was so them, it was perfect. I do remember what Tex said :'( WHAAAATTT that's crazy that Vic and Church are the same VA, that enhances it for sure! Ohhh, something strange? Hmm...I'm gonna have to think about that one! The Darth Maul reference just about killed me, omg!!! HAHAHAHA I have no doubt the next season will reassemble itself with an evil spider bottom and come back to haunt me :P

kamenriderhime

I know!! It was so good! The speeches were everything! Seriously, it's amazing to see their journey from there to here right? What a great wrap up, I agree! Yeah apparently I got some of that wrong and there is a new arc coming for the Reds and Blues, but wow this felt like an ending didn't it??? I can't wait for more!

3 monologs in 1 episode has gotta be a some kind of record

I was dying hearing Carolina sing at the end there! XD

I think this was a great way to end the season even with the problems I have with it overall. I agree that these characters we have gotten to know being the same people while still having great character development/story happening is awesome. I have one problem with episode 19 but I love it. I think the air combat is cool. Poor Lopez even when someone can understand him his life is still suffering LOL. I thought the writing was somewhat heavy handed with making all these random reds & blues such such terrible people but because we aren’t meant to care about them and it was political commentary based on when it was made it doesn’t really bother me. It’s always great seeing how far the guys have come with their fighting skills/strategy. The scientist freaking out about the machine is great pay off for him laughing it off earlier. The time machine reveal is crazy but I like it. This scientist’s voice acting & the dialogue is hilarious. The God magic line is amazing. I don't remember who originally said this but it reminds me of the quote that magic is only science we can’t or haven’t understood yet. I love Jax insulting anything Italian he can think of to distract Lorenzo. I love Tucker punching the tank to destroy it when it’s something you can do in the games. Carolina’s deadpan reaction is so good LOL. I don’t think Temple knew about the time travel aspect & even if he did he would only care that it was able to destroy the UNSC. I love episode 20 especially because of the ending. I love the one liner contest between Tucker & Sarge LOL. I like how all our guys face their others but my favorite face off was Sarge trying to help Surge even if it doesn’t end well. I wish they had kept Surge but I think they didn’t want to make the cast too large. Although I love the Simmons feeling lazy moment. I love the way Temple being afraid of blood because of what happened to Bif comes up here it’s good writing. It’s interesting that is what saves them. I feel so bad for Loco dying here after he decided he wanted to help Caboose say goodbye to Church more than he wanted revenge. This was such a crazy way to end the episode with Church appearing. I think episode 21 is a great finale. I really love the goodbye from Caboose to Church especially the sentiment of letting go behind it. It’s sad but also very sweet/heartwarming to hear how he feels about Church’s death. I was surprised you reacted so emotionally to the Vic moment but I do agree that it’s great. I like that Carolina is the one who stops Tucker from killing Temple with what was going on with her this season. I enjoyed the dialogue at the end of the episode as a conclusion. Even with the problems I have with this season I agree that the way they decided to wrap up the Church stuff was amazing & there were a lot of great parts of the season. I like that the song in the end credits was Jen Brown as Carolina singing badly on purpose LOL. Even though I still don’t love season 15 watching it again with you gave me more of an appreciation for it. Awesome reaction & thoughts. Keep up the great work. :-) <3

These eps were great! I know poor Lopez, just when we thought someone would be able to understand him lol. Oh that's interesting about how this was supposed to be political commentary. That's actually a great quote to apply here, and I know, the time machine reveal was so intense! Hahaha the Italian insults!!! Oh and Carolina's reaction!! Right that kinda makes sense that Temple wouldn't know the full story with the time travel stuff and/or care beyond his own plans. HAHAHA the one liner contest was amazing! Yeah the Sarge/Surge stuff was an interesting contrast to everyone else having to face their "other selves"! Simmons feeling lazy was great too. It would have been nice if we could've kept Surge! Yeah it was a nice callback with Temple being afraid of blood wasn't it! I knooooow poor Loco! OMG what an ending right?! OMG the goodbye was just so good. It was sad but also very sweet like you said. Awww yeah I'm not sure why the Vic moment got me emotional lol. It was a nice touch to have Carolina be the one to intervene. I'm glad you enjoyed this wrap-up overall! Hahaha I didn't even think she sounded so bad but it was a nice touch for us to be able to hear the "bad" singing they mentioned! I'm so glad that rewatching with me gave you a better appreciation of this season!!! Thank you so much and sorry again for taking forever to get back to you!
