Hey everyone!  Here it is - my reaction to the Geats x Revice movie!!  WOW was this fun!!  Like how freaking spectacular was it to see our whole Revice crew again?!!?!  I feel like I'm reuniting with my own family members lol.  And WOW, another kid?!?!  Dang!!!  Of course, we got our buddy Vice back, even if it wasn't permanent.  But I LOVE that thanks to Ace, our beautiful wonderful Ace, the memories are permanent!!!!  Just another reason to love him!  I loved the idea of an even more twisted DGP, and all the Ryuki stuff was a nice addition too!  It makes me really wanna see Ryuki lol!!!!  All in all, I'd say this was a super fun one!!!  Enjoy!  ~ MH

Honestly I think this is my favorite of the Winter Kamen Rider Team up movies. We get to have our little post-series story with Revice, and Geats' story is just entirely a cross-over the whole way through. I know Ryuki riders are in it because it's celebrating how that series is 20 years old. Honestly it's a real good series, I mean it has the same head writer of Den-O. xD It's such a tragic story... Though I'll just say that it's pretty much a series where Keiwa's the main Rider, and Ace is the secondary Rider who has some Michigana Traits in him because he's pretty jaded(and for good reason). When the Desire Royale popped up in the main series, that was pretty hype to see come back... Though for the longest while I wondered if we were ever going to see Keiwa's dark side come out, but then came Bujin Sword. xD ...I could probably talk more about this, but to be honest... I've been dying to talk about the event I had planned for my campaign that is based off this movie, but not entirely because I'm leaving the Revice/Ryuki Riders out of it to make things easier for myself. This event would feature the return of the First Game Master, the man who hosted the Desire Royale. Before the start of the campaign, this Game Master had gotten *fired*. While the higher ups claim that the games were too "barbaric" and "uncivilized", they only say that to raise the DGP on a higher pedestal and to look good for the audience. In reality, it was because the First Game Master's last game brought in the lowest ratings and a LOT of heated complaints from the fans. This was because a Rider in the first round KILLED ALL of the other contestants, and then just gave up in the next round. This game master would be replaced by a supporter who has been a big fan who wanted to realize his ideal 'Desire Royale', making the 'Desire Grand Prix'. However the First Game Master does not want to take the bruise to his ego, to have HIS games shut down because of one bad player... Leading to an Event in the Campaign where he takes back the Vision Driver and brings back the Desire Royale, a new and 'improved' Desire Royale! Players will be divided into Teams, and while they're not allowed to hurt their teammates like a normal Desire Grand Prix, they're allowed to kill players on other teams if they want. Of course a little break in like this would NEVER be tolerated by staff, but the Higher Ups will just stand back to see what happens. They're going to let the First Game Master cook up some trouble. This leads up the a big boss battle with Kamen Rider Seeker, who this character I'm making a former boxing champion who had lost his wife. He'll be featured earlier in the campaign as someone to help out the DND players, however at some point he'll get kicked out when they find out he's using a fake buckle(or hacked) and banned from the Desire Grand Prix. The First Game Master would bring him as a 'Ringer', and since the chance of reviving his wife nearly slipped from his fingers forever once... Well, he's going to try to go the distance this time. Players *could* find a way to turn him good again since they're buddies, but if not then in his final phase he uses a *forth* buckle, a fake buckle. He uses it to give himself Boost's Power, which puts him into a state where he's stationary, but he's like stuck in this loop where he takes two or three turns charging up his ultimate finisher which will one-hit kill anything(Of course he'll aim for NPCs first if they're alive). He'll have super armor, but once it's broken he's dead. ...Unless if he has a bad roll, in which he'll die from recoil damage since in this phase he's at like... 1HP, lol. If players kill Seeker, that's when the Game Master will reveal the 'true' last round. In a fashion much like Double Dragon, the team must kill one another until one is left standing to claim the prize. If players refuse, he'll have a massive break down, basically being like: "Y'know what?! F- all you, this is EXACTLY why I pre-recorded this Royale instead of going live, you F-s are ALWAYS BREAKING MY F-ING GAMES! This is NOT my mistake, so I deserve a mulligan on this one! I'm going to restart the Desire Royale without any of you A-holes in it! SO THANKS FOR PLAYING, AND GO F- YOURSELFS!" xD If players had convinced Seeker to join their side, there will be a final battle with the First Game Master as Kamen Rider Glare, serving as an introduction to this kind of boss type, although he's nerfed. He won't have the player hacking ability since the Higher Ups are only giving him limited access to Glare's capabilities. If they had killed Seeker, the Producer/Gazer would come into clean up the mess much sooner, denying the First Game Master access from even transforming before revealing that they've been wanting to fire the First Game Master for a while, but that one incident in the past served as the excuse they needed to finally do it. Of course there's a chance they might meet the producer before hand, there's a Ghost in the Graveyard game in rotation where he'll act as the 'Ghost in the Graveyard'. xD Personally I'm leaning towards this event even starting because it's lowkey the Navigator's plan the whole time. The First Game Master doesn't even know he's involved in it, as the Navigator was planning on swiping the Vision Driver right out from under his nose, but that didn't come to fruition since the players WILL fuck the plan up. xD Of course she's acting on her own, so they probably wouldn't even know until later.

Hi Hime :) I had never seen Revice before the film, as much to say that our naked trio taking a bath at the beginning of the film, was a surprise lol. Of course, I plan to watch Revice one of these days, but for now, I'm catching up with Gaim and the series that follow after. Seeing that even though Ryuki was my first Kamen Rider, Fourze was my second and I continued with Wizard after that, just taking a long break because the start of Gaim confused me. Ace and the others are disguised as JRPG heroes, especially as Dragon Quest heroes, as I already said with a certain series animated around a slime, Dragon Quest is almost general culture in Japan, so to do reference here is normal, it would be as referenced Batman and Superman in the United States (in france it would be Spirou and Tintin). Seeker's helmet is reused for Neon's father, with the deer antlers less of course and repainted in gold. At the same time, they weren't going to throw this very sick design ^^. Girori becoming Glare appears in the film before appearing in the series, it gives you a little idea of the timeline. Those who went to see the film in Japan had this surprise before seeing it return to the series. Now for Ryuki integrated here, it makes enough sense, Ryuki is also a series with a death tournament between riders to see their wishes granted. The mirror word being precisely where the riders clash but also where the monsters appear. It is also during the film ending the series, that Ryuga appears, who is the clone of the mirror world of Shinji Kido / Ryuki, that's why it's only a Ryuki in black. It was also during this film that the first female rider appeared, called Kamen Rider Femme (femme meaning woman in French). That's why Ryuga is all about destruction, because he's the mirror of Ruyki wanting to save everyone. Ren/Kamen Rider Knight, starts Ryuki as Shinji's rival, but ends up getting closer to him during the series to the point of becoming friends. It has a rather sad story and a wish that we want to see come true. Its actor, Satoshi Matsuda, also appears in a Tokusatsu project called "sentika f8aba6 jisariz", created by a certain Masahiro Inoue, otherwise known as Kamen Rider Decade and where Masashiro holds the main roles. It's available on youtube with English subtitles, 12 episodes of about 15min if you're ever interested. Rather pleasant to follow, with a lot of mystery that may have answers in season 2 if it comes. Asakura/Kamen Rider Ouja, whom you saw in the very funny special where Michinaga dreams, is a murderer in Ryuki, who appears for the first time in prison and escapes rather quickly before joining the fight. As you can imagine from what we see here, it's far from being the kind of guy we want with this kind of power or power at all. But he's so entertaining and his actor makes a big deal out of it, that he's definitely unforgettable and you end up enjoying seeing him even if you don't like his character lol. A character that could have pleased Beroba. Even without having seen Revice, I really appreciated this film, which allows you not to feel too lost despite the number of characters and if for you seeing the Revice crew again gave you the impression of seeing old friends again, it was to see those of Ryuki again which had this effect for me ^^.

Level Up Gamer Max

If there are still any "On Hiatus" series, let's see which specials will be up next, Really Hoping for u to see the Tycoon x Shinobi Special, or even the Demons, Live and Evil Movie

Manny

I missed them so much it hurt. I knew seeing the REVICE group would be painful but this HURT. Okay Sakura, Mama Igarashi and Neon were so cute bonding together 🥰 Michinaga and REVICE were hilarious 😂 Man these team ups were amazing! I loved the girl power! Seeing Daichi and Keiwa together was cool! Ace and Ikki were a dream made in heaven; I knew they’d get along. Gah! I was hoping a wish would bring back Vice but it has to be that way I guess. It had me tearing up again. REVICE has to be my favorite of the series. The characters and story were all too good; it hurt so bad to see all them go. Also Ace is the man! I loved what he did for both Ikki and Vice. 🥲 Man this hit me so hard on the feels I miss everyone so much: Luv-Chan, George, etc . . . Vice! Darn it Vice! I love you. I’ll always remember you. It was fun just like the old days. 😭 💗 I’m going to have to watch this again. It was great. I don’t think you watched REVICE and Saber. I could be wrong but I’m sure you didn’t. It may have been mentioned once or twice but never seen. But that sounds like fun too. And less pain inducing like this one was. 🥲

kamenriderhime

I think we're coming to the end of a lot of the breaks, but I'd love to watch those in the future!! I have so many to catch up on!!!

kamenriderhime

OMG I know D: Same!! The interactions were just pure fire weren't they!! The pairings made so much sense!!! And Ace and Ikki together was just so awesome and also dreamy LOL!! I know, I was thinking that too about the wish....but at least if it had to be this way, he can remember now! Revice is so good for sure, it's a great one to have as a fave!! Ace is so good!!! It was so nice to go back and relive these good old days wasn't it!!!! What a show <333 I'm so glad you're gonna watch it again!! Yeah I think you're right, I've never seen that one! Lol it might be a bit less painful too!!!

Jotage

That scene at the start with Keiwa and Daiji was really cool. Not only did we get to see Keiwa’s inner demon, but also I really like how they paired the two of them up together because they’re actually really similar if you think about it. Two characters who have a strong desire for justice/world peace but they end up going down a dark path because of it. Even through this movie came out before Keiwa’s evil arc I’m sure that they planned it from the start and that’s why they had them interact in this movie.

kamenriderhime

It was!!! I liked that too, it made a lot of sense. They have a lot in common for sure. I agree, it's cool that they seemed to have planned that and planted a little seed for it here!!

I can’t speak TOO much as I’m only in Episode 30 of Revice. I’m catching up on stuff, but - you have any ungodly (pun intended) idea just how much content you churn out per week? 😂 😂 😂 As far as this particular thing, I do believe I saw that it aired around December…. I see the “we almost showed too much” trope from Revice is alive and well… but I’m more interested in Neon dressing up as a witch in the cosplay cafe. The look’s rather spook-tac-u-lar. Regarding the pairings I think they’re coin flips. Geats is looking for his family while Revice is protecting one he already has established. Neon is running away from a situation that has no love, whereas Sakura, like Ikki, has the opposite issue of being doted on perhaps maybe a little more than she bargained for… especially when she’s trying to be taken seriously. The whole Keiwa / Daiji thing was pretty good foreshadowing… but I wonder how many people who watched this at the time would e connected those dots. As for Vice and Michinaga… can we lock those two in a canon in the woods and just roll cameras? It could be a real night of the living dead Kamen Riders. :) Oh and the DGP staff getting all righteous about heroes? That’s rich, I can smell the hypocrisy… also why does Tsumuri look like Beroba? Maybe we need to pencil out plans to hit the annual crossover movie whenever the gap shows up. Do these producers ever take a breath though?

kamenriderhime

Oooh sorry, there's probably some spoilers for the ending in this movie >.< Aww I'm glad you feel like I'm putting out lots of content, yay!!! LOL they kept the trope alive alright! That's what I figured, that this came out around the end of last year. Ooh that's actually a really good analysis, the pairs are sort of all opposites! Yeah I'm not sure I would have picked up on the Keiwa thing if it weren't for the fact that I've seen it all play out now, but it was a cool hint. HAHAHAHA omg, I would totally watch the Blair Witch Vice/Michinaga movie :P Seriously, DGP has no right to be righteous about anything lol. OMG I can totally see the Beroba vibes!! Yeah, I'd love to carve out some time for the movies, the problem is like you said, these shows never EVER take a break! In fact, I'm only watching this because other shows were on break. :P I'll do my best to make some time though!

kamenriderhime

Senpai - for some reason I can't see your comment here anymore, I'm sorry!!! But I have it in my email so I can reply to what you said separately! :) I agree, this was such an awesome team-up! I'd love to see Ryuki, it sounds like a wonderfully done and very dramatic story! It's cool that they were able to include it here. Ohhh see I didn't realize the Desire Royale was here first! WHOA, I've gotta say, I was totally engrossed reading your plan for your campaign!!! Like dude, I would totally watch that if it were a show/movie!!! Dang! I love all the possible options including things like getting Seeker on your side, refusing the battle, etc. and how that all affects the outcome. Not to mention the downright engaging plot/background. Your players are in for a treat, for real!!!! I'm so invested now, please let me know how it's all going!!!!

ABHB Ya-iba

Woah! I missed this! The day you aired this is like about a week and few days before I return to US, so I might was so busy back then. Never a fan of leaving my home country to face of a lot of challenging in the other side of the world alone. Kamen Rider Ryuki is the first series in Kamen Rider franchise to step away from the main plot of saving the world. Before that, Kamen Rider was all about fighting the vilian and bring peace back. But for Ryuki, it's all about battle royale! Every Kamen Rider are the desired person who wish for something, and to be granted their wish, you must defeat every other Kamen Rider, kill them or make them disappear. Kamen Rider Ryuki/Shinji Kido is the guy who want to stop this battle and join the fight for that wish, or so I think, since I never watch Ryuki. I heard that Ryuki is quire extreme. You know what? As you step closer to the origin of Kamen Rider, each Heisei Rider stepping up their gore and violence rate. You see... Kamen Rider is softer and softer over time. Kamen Rider Ryuki is out during 2002, and remember Kamen Rider Den-O episode 2, where an Imagin is just out there, picking up people and drop them to dead just to get their keychain. And that was during 2007. Ryuki, as well as Kuuga and Agito coming before is definitely gonna be more harsh than that. As I know, Kuuga is literally transformation. It's not like wearing any kind of armor. If Kuuga's rider form is damaged, the person transforming will also damage as well. I think we are having 3 way relationship between each series here. Ryuki and Revice for their demon parter. Each Ryuki's rider are having their mirror monster as their contract monster, like Ryuki having a Dragon named Dragreader or something and Knight having a bat, while each of Revice's rider are having their demons. Well, not all of them. Let's say its the Igarashi family's rider. Revice and Geats having motif of animals, and that they are senior and junior rider, that's for sure. And last but not least, Ryuki and Geats, for a grand scale game. Battle Royale in the mirror world for Ryuki and Desire Grand Prix for Geats. However, every rider from Ryuki, Revice, and Geats are all having animal as their motif. Imagined a T-rex and a fox fighting with a deer, while a Racoon Dog, a bat, fighting a dragon, A cat and a cobra fighting a bat, and a Buffalo fighting a cobra. Quite crazy huh. I wonder what will happen if we include Ex-aid's rider here, since they are also about game and life. But that's might be too much, I see not much influence the Ryuki's rider to the story after all. For continuity and placement, the film takes place between episodes 15 and 16 of Kamen Rider Geats. The events of the movie are acknowledged in episodes 17, 34, and "Kamen Rider Geats: What the hell?! Desire Grand Prix Full of Men! I'm Ouja!". For Kamen Rider Revice, The film takes place a year after the final episode, in which Ikki and Ace's meeting is acknowledged in the film. Lastly, this film takes place in the main timeline, 20 years after the events of the first Rider Fight in Kamen Rider Ryuki. That's sound fine! Unless... Geats episode 15 is when Ace re-enter the game after retired by Girori/Kamen Rider Glare's influences. Despite the last boss being defeated, the world does not reset because Girori refuses to declare Ace the winner. Instead, he will give Neon and Keiwa one last chance to become Desire God with a new game: the Desire God Tournament. And episode 16 is the Fox hunting game. It seems there's no place between those episodes, unless it's that Ace defeating the last boss, Tsumuri came in and announce the start of Fox hunting game, and then a little break is declared. With this movie out of the watching list, we still have Saber x Zenkaiger - Super Hero Senki, Kamen Rider Revice: Battle Familia, Kamen Rider Revice: Final Stage, Revice Forward: Kamen Rider Live & Evil & Demons, Kamen Rider Juuga VS Kamen Rider Orteca, Kamen Rider Saber Spin-off: Kamen Rider Sabela & Kamen Rider Durendal, Kamen Rider: Beyond Generations, Kamen Rider Outsiders, Zero-One Others: Kamen Rider Vulcan & Valkyrie, Kamen Rider Saber: Trio of Deep Sin, and even Kamen Rider Geats winter movie: "Kamen Rider Geats: 4 Aces and the Black Fox". I know there's a lot, so I recommending the main line crossover and summer movie first. Like Super Hero Senki, a team up of Saber and Zenkaiger where familiar faces show up, as well as the debut of Revice. Beyond Generations, a team up of Saber and Revice. Revice summer movie: Battle Familia, the debut stage of Geats. (Oh! I forgot Kamen Rider Chimera, the spin-off of Revice take place before this movie.) And then Geats: 4 Aces and the Black Fox, the debut stage of Gotchard. I hope you will get a chance to see them. Until then, see you!
