Hey everyone!  Here it is - my reaction to Red vs. Blue season 16, episodes 10 - 12!!!  Wow you guys, a lot going on here!!  First meeting with the gods, a hilarious homage to RWBY, going full on meta with a documentary, etc.!  And in between all the silliness and wackiness, we got some interesting character stuff for Tucker and some really heartbreaking glimpses at how Wash is doing!!!  It's really killing me! So now we're meeting again with the gods, but is it just a trap for every to get smote (?) like Jax did???  Guess we'll find out!  Great eps!  Enjoy!  ~ MH

Just to lay it all out there, Caboose: taught apes to use tools, taught cavemen to make fire, burned down the Library of Alexandria (the famous time), started the Great Fire of London, introduced Influenza to the Americas, destroyed the Hindenburg, and started World War 1. Oh, and hung out with Charon Industries guards and the Rooster Teeth founding staff. In mythology, Zeus turned into a swan one of the many times he cheated on his wife. So when King Atlas is getting rased by his wife for becoming a swan... Not only did Genkins spoil the next episode, he spoiled the very last thing that happens in it. He gives absolutely no context for it, but he did say what happens. Every RvB writer has at least one character they write and voice. For the guy who cowrote this season and wrote the last one, it's Jax of all people. I feel like that says something, but I'm not sure what it is.

I'm going to try to be as respectful as I can. I am not a fan of how Tucker is being written this Season, Sword Loser in particular. I feel like he isn't developing or learning anything. Rather, he's just spinning in circles of making mistakes, seemingly learning from them, then making them again and just is becoming worse and worse. And I know it's explained that it's because of the time travel, it amplifies your worst traits and tempts you to change your fate, but a part of me feels like the writer just doesn't like Tucker and is using this as an excuse to treat him like crap and assassinate his entire character. And unfortunately it's partially why a lot of people lost interest in RvB and why we got less and less episodes per Season and less marketing as the series went on, on top of the whole God and Time Travel stuff lol That's just how I feel about this Season and it's the first time I ever disliked a RvB Season honestly.

I still will get you to start using penultimate regularly somehow. 😉 Caboose “accidentally” caused a lot of historical events both in canon and in world. I was gonna list some but I see someone else has done that already… So apparently Huggins’ employers have different views than Donut’s employer… so who’s wanting what? Also, Tucker may have been one if the worst kings of England ever based in his actions… but based on Sister’s escapades - are we sure she wasn’t responsible for a plague? I’m just saying. Washington seeing his near-death scene might’ve snapped him somewhat back to reality but he’s still kind of mixed up about where and when he is. Also you can kind of tell… it’s really weighing on Carolina, so you’re not the only one his condition is bothering. And yes… now I will reveal that the ship name for them is indeed Car Wash. It figures Sarge would spit in the face of ANY authority… the whole documentary thing doesn’t seem to be creating the results Jax was hoping for… Also my question is after a really tense reaction so you also leave and turn into a swan? Tucker kind of has his own trope but Sister called him out on it… he’s so focused on himself that he’s forgotten everything else. Speaking of everything else Donut sure goes to some weird places but his dialogue is always a facepalm and a half - if it’s his or someone else talking about him. And finally… I told you we were going to address the other most asked RoosterVerse Question. “What happened to the moon!?” “It was shattered by the gods.” “In which series?” “Yes. 😏” Genkins spoils shows on YouTube! He’s going back on time and telling you who Darth Vader really is before you watch The Empire Strikes Back as a child, somebody stop him!

It hurts badly seeing Wash like this. It just gets worse whenever we focus on it. And here it was fun times till we were again reminded. I hope there’s some resolution to this. Sis and Tucker was interesting. I didn’t know we were going down whatever that was but that was very enlightening in a way. I don’t know what to make of that entirely but interesting. That freaking movie could have one something. I’d watch the heck out of it. Jax really captured Cabooses likeness. It could have fooled me 😆 🏆 👏 I’m with you on the Donut stuff. I don’t think we’re missing something. We see Donut with “God” and gets told to save his friends, who are down a wrong path (so he says anyway). Then before Donut departs “God” asks one thing of him (that’s unbeknownst to us) and then Donut pops up apologizing to everyone, or trying to. I think something’s being left out on purpose for now.

OMG, that's amazing haha, he accomplished a lot :P OHHHHH is that what the swan thing is about?? Lol. OMG that's nuts, I can't believe that, good thing I didn't really absorb any of wat they said! No kidding about Jax's VA, there's definitely something to that lol.

I totally get the different writing/feel for Tucker this season! I'm really sorry it's just not working for you, as well as other stuff this season, I can see how it wouldn't hit just right based on the character development we've seen from him in the past too. I know I've been warned a lot about how many feel the series declines at this point so I don't think you're alone in feeling that way!

kamenriderhime

OMG I know!!! Wash :( It was actually starting to look up a bit too. Yeah I'm not exactly sure where we're going with Sis and Tucker but it's interesting! LOL I mean I'd watch it for sure! Yeah there's something going on with Donut for sure, that they're not telling us. Guess we'll find out!

kamenriderhime

The more you say it, the more stubborn I get!!! :P Lol jk, I honestly just forget mostly. That's amazing that Caboose caused so many important events by accident! So yeah, they're two totally different parties, that was my guess! Who knows what Donut's side is up to? Oh wow, I'm sure there's a lot of things that Sis' escapades set in motion lol. CAR WASH!!! OMG!!! Hahahahaha!!! Lol, if I had to pick an animal it'd probably be a kitty or something, but to each their own I guess! Yeah Sis and Tucker's conversation was interesting, I'm curious to see where they go with it. Donut's dialogue certainly is a facepalm and a half, and/or any dialogue concerning him lol. HAHAHAHA they have a pattern going with this moon thing! OMG nooooo Genkins is my worst nightmare!!!!!!!!!!! :O

Everything they’re doing with Wash is P A I N! And god, I was dying during Donut’s bit XD

I love this set of episodes. It tracks that Caboose would cause some big disasters in history & I like the way he describes what happens in a causal way. It’s scary to think they could end up destroying time and then not realize it because nothing exists. Grif really knows how to insult Tucker LOL. It’s really nice to see that Grif and Huggins have become good friends/a team now. It’s a really cute and fun dynamic. It’s unfortunate that Tucker is now overcompensating for being upset with rejection with an extreme amount of confidence that is kind of making him mean at least more than usual. I appreciate how sexual and confident Kai is because I think it can be empowering for people to see a character like her you go girl. It makes me upset/angry that there are people who will shame women/people in general who are sexual/have a lot of sex when they should just mind their damn business. Sorry for getting real/heavy watching that part again writing this comment made me think of that and I wanted to get it off my chest sorry again. Also if anyone could find a way to have sex with a light being like Huggins it would be Kai LOL. It’s cute that Huggins gets a little dorky & glows pink when Kai does a little flirting. Also bisexual light being FTW. Also poor Donut with his friends not willing to listen to him. Tucker giving a big speech and then just bailing is hilarious. It’s not fun having to see Washington have to relive & experience the latent PTSD/trauma of getting shot by accident. It’s a good scene because of how well it shows how trauma can be triggered but definitely not fun. Also it seems like what he’s going through is causing him to react with more anger than normal. It’s understandable but sad for Carolina to be going through. And we finally see/hear Chrovos talking with religious undertones. I really like the gears design and the voice is good being much like how a God is shown as sounding like in some movies. Also Donut as fabulous Jesus sounds like a fun time. It’s sad to see that the rest of the group are not as nice to Donut as he wishes they were. And unfortunately this along with what he went through after getting zapped by the Time Machine makes his mind weak and like Huggins said a few episodes ago easy to manipulate which seems to be what is happening here. There isn’t much to say about episode 11 but it does a good job moving the plot along in a fun way. The turning into a swan thing is a reference to how Zeus would often turn into animals when coming down to earth. The moon being destroyed is an amazing RWBY reference LOL I’m glad you enjoyed it. I can see the similarities between Huggins & Ruby interesting thought there. The whole meeting with the gods and wishes thing is ridiculous and hilarious but overall it went well thankfully. I honestly love all the sword puns Grif is coming up with on the spot after getting his wish they are all clever even if I was cringing LOL. It’s fine to think about stuff without being introspective but sometimes you have to look inward which is what Kai wanted Tucker to do. It’s unfortunate that he has let his ego and confidence go to his head to the point that Sister is this disappointed. I love this whole deconstruction of Tucker’s sexual characterization it’s a really interesting direction to take his character. It’s powerful to see Kai stand up for herself here about how sexual she is. Her speech is savage & harsh but I think it was necessary with the way Tucker has been acting this season. It’s sad to think that some sort of sadness/emptiness is why he acts the way he does. The end of the dialogue talking about his narcissism is a mic drop moment for sure. I understand why people might not like this direction for his character but I think the deconstruction is very well done and him being a flawed character is more interesting than if he was perfect in my opinion. Also of course Grif had to get one last pun in at the end of the episode LOL. I agree that this is a great way to flesh out both Tucker & Kai. I love episode 12 and I think it’s fun that most of the episode is done in a documentary style like The Office. The taglines for the characters are great but my favorite one is that for Caboose all it says is Your Best Friend. I don’t like the sex scene but it’s nice that the ship name of CarWash as a nod to the fans. It’s great to see everyone together again trying to get on the same page. Also the interactions and reactions to all the new information are so funny. It’s painful to see that Washington thought they were still on the mission to find Church because of his condition. I like that they are telling each other what they have been doing since they were separated to make a timeline of events. Jax using the Time Machine and thinking there will not be problems is a wait what moment for sure. His reaction to realizing the time machines are gone when he needs them is the most fearful I have ever heard him. I love the titles everyone is giving themselves it’s fun. I feel bad but it’s hilarious to see Jax get wrecked LOL. This is a great Cliffhanger to end the episode right before we hear what the gods have to say. That was a spoiler from the one God it’s a good thing you forgot what they said. Also that AI line during the sex scene was absolutely out of pocket/wild LOL. Finally poor Sarge is heartbroken knowing that Kalirama is married I feel bad. Awesome reaction & thoughts. Keep up the great work. :-) <3

Yes, these were really fun episodes! All the character development in these eps was interesting! I love seeing the dynamics of all the different character combinations. Its crazy to look back at the first season and see how far we've come with everything!
