Hey everyone!  I'm back with Jujutsu Kaisen season 2, episode 7!  Oh dang, Mechamaru!!!  Sheesh!  He put up one heck of a fight, but dang, I was afraid things might go that way.  Meanwhile, we're getting all the pieces in places for whatever's going to go down in Shibuya.  Oh yeah, and it's Halloween, yay!  I'm really worried about Gojo going in alone and I have a feeling things are gonna go sideways really fast!  I guess we'll find out in the next one!  Can't wait for more!  Enjoy!  ~ MH

According to the category I have for this season, it’s 23 episodes. I don’t know how long this particular part of it is, though. So, they release the top ten most popular episodes on Fridays and Jujutsu Kaisen was at the top this week, despite only being up for 24 hours. It’s fairly easy to see why, there was a lot of 🔥 this week. Speaking of which, I think MAPPA may have upped the animation budget for the first part of the episode for… reasons. Mechamaru said his victory condition was to tell Gojo about the Shibuya incident and during the fight Mahito mentioned that he could easily rest for ten days before Halloween. So I think it’s safe to say that these events are happening ten days apart. I don’t know what happened exactly to Mechamaru but it’s assumed he was KIA - saying “I want to see everyone” is a bit of a death flag, especially when you add a flashback. Also you get rather worked up about characters dying, you know - but if the writer feels they’ve served their purpose… also that’s not an easy decision to go through with for a writer, but if it serves for a better story, that’s what goes. And, by the way, everybody likes Miwa. Remember, even Gojo said she was his type. Apparently Mechamaru was one step ahead but Geto and Mahito were three, that’s the problem. And now they have seen how to counter Domain Expansion because of the failure, which I’m sure is going to come back… Hmm Halloween in Japan? I can see you liking that enough to try it… I imagine they would be pretty creative when it came to costume designs… you might actually be on overload lol. The writer clearly knows what their story works with, setting a stage with Halloween as a backdrop. But why Gojo, in particular? There’s got to be more to this little lure… also note that none of our other principals are in play, they were told to be on standby. I have a bad feeling about this. “This show has started to turned dark.” “We started with a boy eating a cursed finger and getting possessed by a demon, when was it light?” …chocolate chip melon bread? I’ve neither the time nor the stomach to try and unpack that one. 😅

Hello Melissa, since I always watch all jjk episodes with you blind the wait for your upload is always exciting. But because of the time difference I didn't manage to watch the Reaction yesterday, as it was already 2am at my place. Also I need my sleep since today is a very special day. Today my best friend celebrates her wedding and I am her maid of honor. That's why I'm pretty excited. But still I had to watch the new Jjk episode with you.🥰 And I was not disappointed. The fight between Mahito and Mechamau was phenomenally animated and the tension in this fight was immense. My gut feeling told me that Mechmaru will not be able to defeat Mahito and also Geto all by himself. I was hoping the whole time that someone would come to his rescue. For having completely forgotten about him until the last episode, I'm quite sad about his way too early death. The second half focused on Shibuya and the people trapped inside the veil over Shibuya. And, here comes our Satoru Gojo. Let the Shibuya Incident begin.

Hi Hime :) The Mechamaru prototype zero looks a lot like Rika in terms of design, right? He is white with sort of tentacles/dreadlocks behind his head. In short, it makes me think about it. I didn't have time to do it as a meme, but after the episode all I could think about was: - Mom can we have Kars? (from Jojo) -We have Kars at home. Mahito with his wings. Because frankly, Mahito with his wings made me think of Kars when he faces Joseph at the end of part 2. The technique that Mechamaru uses, the "simple domain" is the technique used by Miwa, he observed it so much that he was able to seal its essence in his scrolls to use against Mahito. It also shows that he observed Miwa a lot, he cared about her and with what Miwa said, she probably also cared about him, which makes it even sadder... Yeah there are dozens of people who have been sucked in... We don't know if they are alive or not, but it also shows that the tone has changed. Especially with everyone still stuck in the veil. The mustachioed old man on Maki and Nobara's team is the patriarch of the Zen'in clan, in other words the one whose place Maki wants to take. The one who established that Maki was useless because she didn't produce cursed energy and who must surely have already made the same remarks during Toji's time... In short, if something happens to him, I don't care at all. Nobara removing a hair from Maki's shoulder is also a touch that continues to fuel my ship of these two. What Geto and the others want, we already know, is to seal Gojo in a box, so that he is no longer a threat to them. It was said in season 1 when Jogo and Geto were talking at the restaurant.

I’m sorry you had to go to such length to reach your goal just to meet a certain end. Rest In Peace, Kokichi Muta. You were one hell of a fighter. I would have loved to see him with everyone just one time. That’s interesting. He said it was a pact that forbade the creators students from intentionally conveying this domain technique to others. And I’m guessing he learned it from solely watching Miwa. I need to know more, especially about this Sadatsuna Ashiya man.

Hey Bellana!! Oh I'm so glad you got to watch along with me!!! Totally understandable that you'd need your rest for such a big day!!!! Congrats to your friend and hope you have an awesome time at the wedding!! How exciting that you're the maid of honor!!! I'm glad you enjoyed it! The fight was amazing but I had a similar feeling about Mechamaru. Me too, it was so sad that he got taken out so quickly, and never even got to see his friends in person. I can't wait to see the Shibuya Incident but I'm scared!!!! Next week is gonna be intense!!

Hi Spadeas! :) Ohhh that's true, it does resemble Rika doesn't it?? I didn't even think of that!! HAHAHAHAHAHA it's totally the home-cooked version of Kars :P I can totally see the reference!!! And I love that you thought of it! Ohhhh interesting that it's Miwa's technique. It makes sense that he learned it from her. Oh is that who that was on Maki and Nobara's team, interesting! Omg I'm glad I'm not the only one who noticed Nobara picking the hair off here hahaha! Oh right, sorry if I'm fuzzy on the details of what the plan is for Gojo, I do remember that scene from season 1 now! Thanks!!

Gotcha, thanks for letting me know! Oh yeah, I can see why this was right up there! Omg they must have really upped the budget, that fight was insane! Gotcha, thanks for clearing that up about the timing. Yeah I think he was definitely killed, it was definitely giving death flags, even though we didn't see exactly what happened. Yeah Miwa is pretty darn likable! That's the thing, they were way more steps ahead sadly. Oh yeah, you know that's not good info for them to have (how to counter it). Omg I bet the designs are amazing!!! I love Japan and Halloween both so much, it's totally right up my alley haha. Yeah Halloween is a good spooky backdrop for sure! Apparently they mentioned in season 1 they wanted to seal Gojo away after trapping him, I had forgotten but someone mentioned it here! I do too :P LOL I mean, maybe "started to" wasn't the best choice of words! OMG it sounds so good though!!!!!!!! XD

Honestly I thought at first that maybe he just did it for the body too, it kinda looked like it could be that way from what we knew when they first revealed he was the one leaking info. But there was more to getting a body than I thought, like how he wanted to be able to see his friends in person and all :(
