Hey everyone!  Here I am with Jojo Part 5, episode 2!!  OMG, I was not ready for the absolute tragedy that is Giorno's backstory!!!!  Please, PLEASE let me adopt this baby boy and give him a good home forever and ever!  We get to see a lot more of his Stand in action here, and it's super interesting in the way that it works!  Plus it looks cool!  Bruno's Stand is pretty intense too, the creativity is off the charts for how these things work!  And I'm glad to see that Bruno's gonna be a friend and not a foe - in fact, it sounds like the goal is make a better, more positive gang lol, which should be interesting!  I'm so excited for what this part is gonna bring us you guys - now that we've got our mission statement, we're off to the races!!!

Fun fact, in Italy this part in particular is called GioGio's Bizarre Adventure. With how you pronounce 'Gio', it does sound quite a bit like 'Jo'. ...Honestly I kind of wish they did more of this kind of stuff for Jojo protagonist names. xD So let's talk about Gold Experience! In the official English subs, they had to change it to 'Golden Wind', which is actually the name of this part. Honestly it's one of the few stand name changes that I don't mind. Of course they tried doing this again in the next part, but it just doesn't work as well as it does in Part 5. First off... There's actually a Golden Wind game, but it was released back on the PS2 so... Not really much of a chance of it getting translated. xD Interestingly enough, Romi Park(who voiced Koichi in All-Star Battle originally) voiced Giorno. You might know her as Edward Elric if you ever watched the sub. o: However in All Star Battle, Giorno was voiced by Daisuke Namikawa. He played Hisoka in Hunter x Hunter, Yu Narukami from Persona 4, and Waver from Fate/Zero and the El-Melloi series. In the anime proper, Giorno is voiced by Kensho Ono, who voiced Ukyō Saionji (archer boy from Dr. Stone), the main character of Yugioh Arc-V, Diluc in Genshin Impact, and Yuri from Spy x Family. And then there's Bruno. First off, GIANT MIDDLE FINGER to whoever settled for 'Zipper-Man' as the official name for this stand. It just feels incredibly uncreative. This stand's gimmick was based on the gimmick of the Sticky Fingers album, which case had a zipper on it. As for his voices... Starting with the PS2 game, he was voiced by Takahiro Sakurai, who had also voiced Rohan Kishibe in the Jojo Anime, Suzaku from Code Geass, and I'm sure you can see some other roles he's in if you look at my post from the Rohan debut episode. xD MOVING RIGHT ALONG: Noriaki Sugiyama voiced him in All-Star Battle/Eyes of Heaven and honestly did a pretty good job. He's voiced by Sasuke in Naruto, Uryu from Bleach, and Shirou from the Fate Series. In the anime he's voiced by Yuichi Nakamura, so he's Gojo from Jujutsu Kaisen, Tsukasa from Dr Stone, Hawks from My Hero Academia, and Beet J. Stag from Go-Buster. He does a really, REALLY good job. I'll say this about Bruno tho. I wish he was *my* mom. ...If you're a fan of boy bands, I have a feeling you're going to LOVE this part(not that they're going to be singing, unfortunately. ...But maaaaaybe you'll catch some dancing. That ED tho. xD

Hi Hime :) You say it yourself, but I quite agree that the power of Gold Experience is similar to hamon and we have several references to Jonathan doing the experience. Already, Gold, like the sun, was supposed to be the same "energy" as the hamon. You mentioned the plants and Jonathan who made the flowers bud again with his hamon. We have the frog which is squishing like when Zeppeli teaches Jonathan the hamon. And even Giorno tearing off his arm to get a bigger reach can resemble the zoom punch that Zeppeli and Jonathan use. So yes, at this point we can say that Araki wanted us to be sure that Gold Experience is a reference to Jonathan DNA. We didn't want to confirm your theory about Dio/Jonathan's children, but yes, it was spot on. But as I said, Dio and "father" in the same sentence make Jojo fans smile, but Giorno is not the only reason, I will talk about that in due time. You also have here, another meme with the tongue, but which has also been referenced in other anime/manga. Bruno, without wanting to spoil too much, is for me more the main character than Giorno, but you will see for yourself. And in this regard, to increase his "main charater" energy, he is voiced by Yuuichi Nakamura, aka Gojo Satoru. It's also Hawk in MHA, Daybreak the "Rival" of Loid in Spy X Family and a bunch of main characters in other romance-oriented anime. He also plays Andy, the main character of Undead Unluck which started recently, and is animated by David Production, the studio behind Jojo. About the theme, you see Giorno bleeding and from his blood come chains, because he has the blood of Dio and the Joestar so his destiny is linked to his blood. Then you see him break his chains by transforming them into a plant, Giorno breaking his destiny. The chains of the theme represent the destiny of each person, but without the context, you can't know more than that. Now, a little detail of the battle cries: Jotaro: Ora ora Dio: Muda Muda Josuke: Dora Ora Giorno: Muda Muda. Even if he is a Joestar, Giorno still has something of Dio.

now you have finally been introduced to my favorite Jojo Bro. Bruno is such a great character and I think you will like him very much. Speaking of Bruno, he is the one who shares the same birthday with Joseph. I'll link you some cute birthday fanart of the two of them at the end. Now first of all to Gioś background. Like you, I always get tears in my eyes when I see this sweet boy suffer. In the community, Gio's mother is among the most hated female characters for a reason. I don't know exactly what Dio was thinking when he went to sleep with her. Giorno really deserves a family that loves him with all their hearts and I'm sure Jonathan and Erina would have loved to meet him. The fact that Gio doesn't cry anymore because he knows it won't change the situation makes me so sad. He is lucky that the gangster took care of him a little bit. To be clear, the gangster who became Gio's role model is not a boss of the mafia. He is more like a leader of his own subgroup. Unfortunately, it will never be mentioned what happened to him. I'm glad to see that you already like Gio a lot. I also took him into my heart immediately after the 2 episodes and none of the other Joestars have managed to do that so quickly. Now back to Bruno. The design of him is so beautiful that I would count him among the prettiest Jojo characters. Sticky Fingers is also one of my favorite booths. If I could choose a stand I would probably choose Sticky Fingers because it is so versatile. I really have some great merch from Bruno and his stand. Like a necklace, posters, earrings and keychains. And soon my collection will be followed by a figure of Bruno depicting him in this pose as he takes his suit half off and cuts the arm off the boys. I think you can imagine why I chose this figure. 😏 Now a few more fanarts will follow showing Gio with Jonathan or Dio. I think you will like them. Then we begin our journey through Italy to see our Golden Boy grow into a Mafia Boss or Gang Star. I am looking forward to this time. Honestly, if you did marathon this, you might have a good time, but I think the rest of us would be killed trying to keep up. I mean, these reactions have a tendency for you to have a lot to dive into… their track record speaks for itself. 😂 Speaking of diving in, I get the feeling with the flashback it was like Araki was thinking, “let’s pour a mountain of heartbreak and miserable anime kid tragedy tropes into about five minutes, we got stuff to do this season.” Or put another way, “exposition is terribly boring!” said one curious kitty cat. However, a couple of things caught my attention. First, the guys chasing the gangster that Giorno helped… who were they, and what happened, and does that have anything to do with the current gang boss? Also, the kid who was trying to shoot the nice gangster… why do I get the feeling that character’s going to come back. YOU May be ready to make an adoption, but I’m thinking… hang on a second. There’s more to this guy than we’re seeing, I’m pretty sure. In fact, at one point he seemed ready to kill. After all… we’re talking about DIO influence here. And to answer your question about whether or not his father would want to keep him, can you name any instance in which DIO did anything to benefit someone other than himself? So apparently Golden Experience(?) can turn an inanimate object into a live one… Koichi’s luggage turned into the frog Luca attacked, and the tourist wallet from the last episode had Giorno transform her money into butterflies and come back to him. Golden Experience is still being figured out by his user, but Bruno did leave his… FLY open. 😅 Thank you, I’ll be here all week. Oh, and by the way… Bruno’s VA is also Mumen Rider. As far as parents go, I think we’ll see some much better ones tomorrow on this channel…

Wow. That was probably the worst upbringings in all of Jojo. That was such a cruel childhood. The beginning of episode 1 makes more sense now. It was more than just cheeky delinquency like Josuke. He’s a little deviant but it’s amazing to think what Giorno would have been like, with that intense power, without the protection of that man he saved. It’s amazing he’s able smile at all. It goes to show what kindness can do. It’s sad those “parents” of his couldn’t actually give him some of that attention. That gangster was a huge blessing in his life. All things considering he turned out alright. Al right we got our goal to aim for. Gang-Star ⭐️ I like this duo already. They were both intense characters with intense stands. I can’t to see more. Hahaha not Freek’n You. I’m so done 🤣

We really went from "I Want You" to "Freek'n You" lol!!!!!!!! And omg, wasn't that absolutely horrible to watch poor Giorno go through?! It's definitely more than cheeky delinquency, sadly. I agree, thankfully there was at least one person to help him not go down an even worse path. It really is amazing he turned out as well as he did. His "parents" are the worst! Thank God for the gangster, weird as it sounds. Gang-Star!!!! Omg me too, I'm hearing that Bruno is a huge deal for a lot of people so I'm excited to get to know him. Can't wait for more!!

I mean, there's definitely almost a 50/50 talk/watch ratio at this point because I just have so much to say and show >.< Lol!! So yeah, marathoning may put everyone away possibly lol. Yeah he really concentrated ALL that backstory into like, the second ep! That was my exact question about the gang boss. Oh yeah, maybe that kid will come back! I didn't think of that. Well to be fair, his life was threatened when he was ready to kill....and also deep down he's a sad baby and I cannot abide that!!!! I must mother the Dio-ness out of him!!!!!!! That's true, Dio would definitely need to have an agenda in order to keep him. Yup, that's what it's looking like! Gold Experience (I say Golden Experience cause that's what it sounds like lol) is all about life! HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA I wasn't ready for the fly open joke, omg!!!! No wayyyyy, he's also my Mumen Rider?!?!!? Wow!!! Oh yeah, get ready for a much happier family haha.

I think I was the one that said you were going to freak out upon finding out how Josuke was a Jojo!:O Some things to note about these two eps. I'm not sure why David Productions decided to go use the "spirit photo" for the photo that Giorno has in his wallet. It just creates confusion I feel. Like "how did he get that photo?" etc. In the manga it's an entirely different photo, which I will try to attach a link to. Also- Jonathan did technically have a stand, just not when he was alive. When DIO manifested his stand, Jonathan's soul manifested a version of Hermit Purple that DIO was able to use. On the subject of Jonathan, yes I really hope he doesn't know anything that DIO did with his body...because my god! He'd be rolling in his grave! What a tragic back story right?! Sadly, there is going to be a lot of that in this part :( please prepare yourself! I would totally adopt Giorno too! I think it was really smart to include Koichi at the beginning of this part. I feel like it lends to a smooth transition from the last part....and honestly, who doesn't love seeing the goodest boy am I right?? And the introduction of Bruno! I absolutely love Bruno, he's my favorite character in all of the parts! I have a feeling you're going to love him too! :D Though the one thing that kind of annoys me is the localization names for stands. "Gold Experience" to "Golden Wind" kinda makes sense as its the name of the part but still....and then there's Bruno's stand. "Sticky Fingers" to "Zipper Man"??? Like whattttt hahaha I loved your reactions!!! And I CANNOT wait for the next ones :D

AHHHH I think you're right, you were!!! OMG I have you to thank for helping me come up with that theory then!!! XD I doubt I would have started crunching theories so hard otherwise lol. So I read this in another comment about the spirit photo, that threw me off sooo much!!! Ohhhhh no kidding about Jonathan's Stand, really?!!? Was that why Dio was also able to use Hermit Purple for a second in like one of the early eps of SDC? I always wondered about that! Poor Jonathan!!! He'd be devastated!!!!! It was so tragic! Oh dear lord, I'd better get the tissues ready lol. Yes I think many of us might all want to parent Giorno now, it's looking like it might be a joint custody situation spread amongst the fandom hahah!!! I love that Koichi is here, not only is he the best and super reliable, but it does help segue things quite a bit! Really keeping my fingers crossed that Josuke will show up too! Bruno seems awesome so far and WOW, folks really seem to love him! I think you're right! Gold Experience to Golden Wind at least fits, but Zipper Man was a big mistake!!!
