Hey everyone!  Here I am with season 1, episode 2 of Camp Camp!!!  Nooooo poor hamster!!!  Why are they like this with all the animals on this show lol!!!  We get to know the quartermaster a bit better here, unfortunately lol, and I still can't believe who his VA is!  The hunt for a mascot was intense you guys, but what's even more intense is the name the kids chose based on their new platypus.....!!!  Fun stuff!!!  Great ep, enjoy!  ~ MH

Max doesn’t pull any punches does he? We haven’t even gotten to the first intro yet and he’s already attempted murder “at least” once. Speaking of the intro, it stays the same throughout the series - so now I will tell you about the “reactors challenge” among RT reactors of legend. Ahem (eerie ethereal music) “It is long been foretold that the most true reactors of Rooster Teeth content will be able to sing along to the Camp Camp intro perfectly by the time that they finish the show. Many have tried… few have succeeded.” And on that note don’t think I didn’t see you pause on that one kid… we’ll come back to that later. Nerris, the magic wielding girl is indeed Barbara. She’s um… doing a real life D&D game? Wouldn’t be the first or last time, I imagine… XD Nikki: I would’ve fed him porridge, and it would’ve been just right! Me thinks: are you making a Yang reference to make a RWBY reference out of a Goldilocks reference? As for Quartermaster… He sure gives off a certain… vibe, doesn’t he? Let’s just say there’s more where that came from. Sometimes you’ll think it’s funny, sometimes it’ll be so shocking you’ll have no idea what to do with it! The whole killing the squirrel thing in case you didn’t pick up on it, is a reference to Game of Thrones. We basically played out the entire series in fifteen seconds. And Gwen just wanted to sleep in. By the way, the series director voices the platypus. WAK. RIP Larry, you had ten seconds of screen time. Oh well. Tune in next week! PS: I’m personally waiting for Episode 6. I have reasons. 😈 😈 😈

Another artistic influence on Camp Camp is probably Happy Tree Friends.....which is 100% adorably cute animal characters experiencing unexpectedly gruesome death for the humorous shock value.

Oh gosh this shows so awful. RIP to all the animals lost. 😂 🤦‍♂️ Idk what the lesson was there with the quarter master but it was funny 😆 Oh gosh this is gonna be fun. Definitely need some laughs this week. 🏕️ 🔥 🐹

I am so excited that you are finally getting into this because I love Camp Camp so much. And yeah there are many familiar voice actors for you that I am glad the comments are pointing out for you. I love episode 1 it’s a great way to introduce the characters & establish the premise. Also even if really haven’t seen much of it comparing it to South Park is an apt comparison. I think it’s great how the show establishes its darker sometimes irreverent humor really quickly. I love all the characters and I have a hard time picking my favorite between Max, Nikki, Gwen, David and Cameron. Nikki is a wild child as you see with her introduction and I love her so much. Also Elizabeth Maxwell playing both Winter & Nikki really shows how wide her range is. I like Neil but he’s not 1 of my favorite characters. The show does it’s dirty jokes well. Like I think the camp salute might be a reference to something raunchy which David probably does not know about. I like how nice and happy David is with how it contrasts all the craziness and it makes sense that you would gravitate to him as a character. I can relate to Max & Gwen because I too am sometimes done with everything LOL. You can already tell how chaotic this show can get with the situation Gwen is dealing with when she’s introduced. Also her cursing being how she’s 1st introduced might be all you really need to know about her. Oh and I love her voice. I love how unique & colorful all the campers are. Nikki loves the chaos & we love her for that. I like how while characters curse David chooses not to. The orientation video being on a laser disc (old alternative to DVD’s which I learned about because of this show) amuses me a lot for some reason. I love that the show is very upfront about how shady Cameron Campbell is which is unfortunate considering how much David idolizes him. From what we see on the tour of the camp it looks like they don’t really have a lot of resources with how ramshackle/rundown a lot of the different camps look and from Gwen’s comment it sounds like it’s because they are offering too many different camps at once. This show does running jokes really well like Cameron not knowing Gwen’s name. Being able to make a body double by knitting so quickly is impressive it looks like David is right on this point even if Max would probably not want to hear that. Yeah that fine print will always get you sorry to say Neil. I think it’s funny from a meta standpoint that Nikki calls this place by the name of the show. Neil has a great reason to be so angry it’s nice to know he can stand up for himself. You can tell Cameron is a good public speaker with his patriotic speech here. Also that affordable care act comment seems to be a jab at some types of conservatives. And then Cameron is off once the authorities show up. Using Space Kid as a shield against guns is wild. Anxiety & regret huh Gwen? I feel like a lot of millennial’s deal with that. I resonate with Gwen when it comes to the liberal arts degree comment because even though I’m doing fine I too have a liberal arts degree that I do not use. I love Nikki as this little gremlin agent of chaos it’s amazing. The no running bit from Quartermaster is hilarious. I love the way the main trio are escaping & then it just cuts away to them having crashed. Also David and that police officer being on a 1st name basis is concerning to say the least LOL. I love that because of this experience Max has become friends with Nikki and Neil with how Neil stands up to adults & Nikki being pure chaos. And technically David is right that this is a good thing. Unfortunately Gwen is done with his shit for today & breaks the guitar over his head. Also the way his scream is cut off is like 1 of those perfectly cut off scream videos LOL. I love how the episode ending credits have fun rap songs playing. They are honestly really great songs not enough for reactions because they are not really about the characters or stories just vaguely related to the episodes. I love Gravity Falls so I really appreciate the comparison. That was a great comparison between this show & RVB when it comes to the humor. Now onto talking about episode 2 I love it. Max’s Rube Goldberg machine is crazy impressive it’s just unfortunate he’s using those skills to try to commit murder. Also I see the writing on the rock and I’m just like is Max wrong LOL? I love the opening animation and song. I like all the different activities shown but the craziest ones to me are the heart attack training, whatever that police activity is and the knife throwing. Also the most impressive thing about the song is Miles being the one singing it. It’s so impressive that people have asked him to do it at RTX panels & the like and he can usually do it without messing up while not being able to take many breaths because of how fast the song is its pretty awesome. I like that we see that David isn’t immune to getting angry with him now doing this mascot hunt. It makes sense that the kids wouldn’t really know what that time of the month for women is. Also from what I have heard from other female reactors that edge closer to death comment is accurate. Yeah the amount of red flags coming off of Quartermaster is crazy in his 1st scene this episode & I love how they are poking fun at horror movies in this episode. I like how we get to see/learn more about the campers personalities this episode like with poor Nerris being attacked by a raccoon. It’s kind of awesome that Nikki wants the most ferocious animal as a mascot. I like the design of the dark forest Max & Quartermaster go in. The mumbling and Jews comment is wild with how there’s no explanation and it would be more concerning if there wasn’t a lot of concerning stuff about him. I love that as soon as Nikki hears about poison when it comes to the platypus she’s excited. Also yeah the movements & noises from the platypus are hilarious glad you enjoyed it LOL. The king squirrel being killed is done well with the wonder that was being built up and for the shock value but mostly because it leads to the funny I am the king moment it’s unhinged. I like how David is trying to see the bright side/the good qualities of the mascots that kids have found when he doesn’t really like the choices. I love the Viking funeral comment from Nikki. I love Gwen coming to the rescue as she is just trying her best to deal with the madness. It’s hilarious how as soon as David says things are normal is when Quartermaster on a throne carried by animals shows up its 1 of the wildest things I have seen in a cartoon I have watched LMAO. Also poor Larry surviving only to be eaten at least we have a new mascot in the platypus I guess? Yeah that chant is certainly something the P for life line kills me with laughter I am immature LOL. Awesome reaction, thoughts on the 1st 2 episodes & keep up the great work. :-) <3

This episode is a perfect example of why I love this show, it just doesn’t hold back with the jokes and hits you with the most insane things out of nowhere. Especially Quartermaster. XD also we got the platypus! MUACK!

Yes, this is such a fun series! Poor Larry! He'll never be forgotten LOL!! I thought this did a great job of introducing the characters a bit more, and the Quartermaster was crazy!! It's fun to try and pick out the voice actors from other shows! Glad you enjoyed the video!
