Hey everyone!  Here it is - my call for recommendations for a brand new anime!!!!!!!  I'd love it if you guys could choose one for me to replace JJK and Spy x Family (Vinland Saga season 2 is replacing Oshi no Ko).  I'm excited to see what you come up with for me!

And just as a note (not trying to sway you or anything!!) a few that have been recommended or even made a poll, but haven't been chosen in the past, are Haikyuu, Dr. Stone, Violet Evergarden, Made in Abyss, and of course One Piece (which I'm dying to see, but would basically have to watch 30/month to make it worthwhile haha, still, I'm open to it!).

Thanks so much and can't wait to see your suggestions!  After a few days, I'll take all these suggestions and make them into a poll of 3-5 choices :)

Future Card Buddyfight. It's an underrated anime that needs more respect. And again, you can watch all the episodes for free on YouTube.

Manny

Haikyuu. You already know.

Kirsten H

Haikyuu and Dr. Stone are great choices! Also Bungo Stray Dogs would be fun!

SaintLily

Bocchi the Rock is a real gem that aired... well I was going to say recently but actually it's been a year now, time really flies

My Top 3 Recommendations are: 1. Death Parade 2. Made in Abyss 3. Dr. Stone

Made in Abyss……. Are you SURE you want to do that to yourself? One piece would be fun to watch you react to but that is a commitment anime … both I’d love to see you react to but … honey. I don’t know if your heart can handle Made in Abyss. I’d also love to toss out: Frieren: After Journey’s End, Space Battleship Yamato 2199, and of course My Dress Up Darling especially with season 2 supposed to drop this spring.

Jamie Sorto

1. Undead unluck

Jamie Sorto

3. Fuuto pi, kamen rider double anime.

Spadeas

I've already talked about Undead Unluck and since the second part begins on January 5, it remains recent enough to "ride the wave" in a way. For me, it's really a series that you might like because it has something of Hunter X Hunter or Jojo, but with an added dose of romance. Frieren could be a good one too. For One Piece, the recent news announces a remake made by Wit studio (while the animated series is still in progress but hey...), so I suggest you maybe wait for this version to get started on it.

Of course! It would be Goblin Slayer! And Dr. Stone is also interesting. So, I reccomend these two. Goblin Slayer and Dr. Stone. Or you want to watch Fuuto PI, anime version of Kamen Rider W?

Loken

Cyberpunk edgerunners

Violet Evergarden would be great. Lovely and short too so not as much of a commitment. Hajime No Ippo rules if you’re looking for some punches, it packs an emotional punch too! Yakitate Japan is more of a personal choice for me. Most people just know it as the baking anime and I found it so endearing.

Since you're doing more HIDIVE shows lately, I second Made In Abyss; but for lighter fare and because I'm a softie, I would also suggest either Insomniacs after School or Dangers In My Heart. The former is a slow-burn romance while the latter is an entertaining RomCom with lots of feels.

Kayleigh McRae

Slice of Life: Sasaki and Miyano, Kimi ni Todoke, Kase san and Morning Glories Adventure based: Bungou no Stray Dogs, Red Data Girl, Origami, Dark but Vibrant: Death Parade.

John J Ronald

Oh, another short, very cute RomCom from earlier this year I think you would like is Tomo-Chan is a Girl! (Tomboy falls for her guy best friend) and you might also love Romantic Killer on Netflix....Anzu loves 3 things in life: chocolate, her cat, and videogames but a mischievous love guru wizard has other plans for her! Hijinks ensue! I LOL'd a LOT for this show.

I’ve already given this list out a couple times, but since you’re asking specifically - Rising of the Shield Hero (please continue) - The Angel Next Door Spoils Me Rotten - Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End - Akame Ga Kill! - Bungo Stray Dogs (I will also recommend Dr. Stone as an option, since several others are doing so, but that list is my Top 5 for you - The Apothecary Diaries and Mushoku Tensei are also shows I would recommend, but I tried to keep the list shorter. 😁)

It would be REALLY really cool if you saw Mobile Suit Gundam: Witch from Mercury as far as Gundam series go, it's relatively(ish) tame, it's both on Netflix and should still be available to watch on the official GundamInfo Youtube channel, it takes place in space, there's a high school and we got space lesbians is like normal lesbians but in SPACE and as a relatively well-rounded series, it's a great peek into the franchise for new fans, there's nothing you'd need to have seen prior to watching it, only note that WfM does have a prologue episode and then it goes 1, 2, 3, 4 etc etc

Jotage

Have you ever seen Gurren Lagann? If not. I totally reccomend it.

Johnny Ocampo

I would recommend checking out Working!! (Wagnaria!! in some cases depending on the site) It’s mostly a Slice of Life Comedy, that turns more and more into a Romance the further you get into it. It follows a mixed cast of high schoolers and adults working part/full-time at a family restaurant with each employee having some strange quirk about them in a seemingly mundane setting (for instance the female lead has Androphobia, the fear of men, and punches any man she sees on sight and is deceptively strong. Another example is a lazy manager who does none of her work but is protective of her employees using tactics she learned as a former gang leader). The show is especially good when it comes to character interactions and the relationship between all of the workers and the chaos they cause at their job. It has 3 seasons plus a spin-off, and if you’re really into it, a sister series by the same author that takes place in the same universe called Servant X Service. The voice cast itself is also really great including the likes of Daisuke Ono (Erwin, Jotaro, etc.), Hiroshi Kamiya (Levi), Eri Kitamura (Mina in MHA) and many more.

MY BIG HUGE RECOMMENDATION, WATCH DELICIOUS IN DUNGEON. TRUST ME, IT'S REAL GOOD.

Senpai

As for my other recommendations, I have a few. If the Scott Pilgrim show counts, then you should definitely watch it. You might want to have read the comics or watched the movie first, so if you haven't... I'm not really going to recommend it. There's Dorohedoro, which is pretty dang good though it's got a bit of a dark and grundgy atmosphere. If you liked Chainsaw Man and Jujutsu Kaisen, you'll love this show too. It's got Okuyasu's VA as the main character, you CAN'T got wrong with that. There's Bocchi the Rock about a shy girl joining a band. It's pretty funny and really heartwarming, though you'll have to deal with music sometimes... so that might be a little bit of a pain for youtube. D: There's The 100 Girlfriends who really, really, really love you if you want some hilarious romance. The premise: One guy has 100 soulmates, and if he choses only 1... the rest of the 99 soulmates die. It's kind of like Kaguya where it's pretty cheeky, playing with expectations, and leans on the fourth wall. And I should point out there's that WIT Studio One Piece. ...I dunno if you're ever going to watch the original One Piece Anime for the channel, but you should keep an eye out for that.

Imani Brooks

Haikyuu! I'm dying to see your reaction to those good volleyball boys and their rivals. You would absolutely love it!

Imani Brooks

Tokyo Revengers is another pick of mine. I'd be interested to see your thoughts on the characters and theories.

Imani Brooks

Blue Lock is my last suggestion. Again, I just love seeing you pick up more anime sons! And sports anime is one of the best places to do it!

Supermonaman

I’m going to post my recommendations again. I will always recommend Fruits Basket because it’s a great romance and I love the slice of life & found family aspects. Also the way it deals with some of the topics it covers is great. I personally prefer the dub because it’s a really well made dub, I love the VA’s & it’s what I started with but the sub is good too much. My other recommendations are Kill la kill because the story is great, it’s got great animation done by the animation studio that exists because of Gurren Laggan & I am interested in your reactions to certain aspects of it and man the sub is incredible. Also I won’t repeat my reasons because I think it’s been said a bunch before but my other recommendation is for My Dress-up Darling it’s fantastic & I really think you need a more lighthearted show considering all the shows you are going through currently. Finally I’m honestly curious what the rest of your community thinks about you reacting to the One Piece manga even if you would not be able to post the reaction with the manga on screen except on Patreon you would just have to post your reactions without visuals on YouTube. However I think you probably prefer anime & if so you should probably wait for the newly announced anime series remake starting from the beginning of the story by WIT studio who did the 1st 3 seasons of AOT which will most likely have better pacing than the current OP anime & it’s just going to be great seeing another studio’s take on the series and it will be great for getting new people into the story. No matter what ends up being chosen as your next reaction series I am very sure you will love it. Especially because I think your reactions & thoughts are always awesome in general. I am looking forward to your continued hard work. :-) <3

Vinland Saga WOOOOOO!

Josh Sharpe

A really good one is black clover if you are willing to watch 170eps

Tyler Stobbe

I will also toss The Eminence in Shadow onto the secondary list, because I totally spaced on what HiDive has, but my top 5 remain what I’ve already said. :)

Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End

ABHB Ya-iba

Come to think of it, "The Angel next door spoil me rotten" and "Farming Life in Another World" is another great example if you want something heartwarming. If you want something a little more seious, "Banished from the Heroes' Party, I Decided to Live a Quiet Life in the Countryside" could be the thing. I reccomend all of these. - Goblin Slayer - Dr. STONE - Fuuto PI - The Angel next door spoil me rotten - Farming Life in Another World - Banished from the Heroes' Party, I Decided to Live a Quiet Life in the Countryside - Frieren: Beyond Journey's End

Nathan Poulain Cigrand

only one recommendation for you: My Dress-up Darling. I believe it won't waste your time :)
