Hey everyone!

It's time!!!!  I went through every recommendation and tallied up the top 4 that were mentioned the most, and now we have our choices!!!  PLEASE NOTE: I'm now aware that there's a new One Piece anime coming from WIT sometime in the next few years, so keep that in mind!  I can start the version that's available now if One Piece wins, or we can put that option aside for now and I can wait for the new version in 2025-ish.

I can't wait to see what you choose for me!!!!  Thanks!!

Check out Frieren, the feel good anime that WILL find a wat to make you cry each episode. It's so good, but bring tissues and water to rehydrate.

I've seen all of Haikyuu! currently available in English, but I'd re-watch the sub with you. It's a solid sports show with lots of feel good, fist pumping moments.

John J Ronald

I started Frieren in Sub but then the Dub came out so I abandoned the Sub and started over in Dub. It's a good show but its storytelling is slower & more deliberate than a lot of younger fans have the patience for, but I love it and I would re-watch this with you also if it wins.

Haikyuu all the way! Yes, please! Edit: For some reason my vote won't stay. Edit 2: Fixed it somewhat. Quickly voted and left the poll and came back and it was still there. Just in case this happens to anyone else, that's how you fix it, guys. Edit 3: If Haikyuu wins, please do the sub. The dub is hilarious and the actors do a great job, but it has a lot of missing nuance the characters and show really thrive on.

John J Ronald

Not that you asked, but I would also agree with waiting for the Studio WIT reboot of One Piece and watch THAT because even I'm interested in that. I'm already watching the OG One Piece anime on my own intermittently on Netflix (dubbed)....it's getting better but I can't keep the thought out of my head "the live action did this better."; I think I'd need to dip if you started the OG One Piece anime....I just think that whole first arc is REALLY rough and juvenile and the Live Action handled it so much better...and made Luffy an actually likeable character from the get-go....naively optimistic & kind but deeply earnest and you just want to watch & see what happens, whether he falls on his face or succeeds.

John J Ronald

That's how Fruits Basket is for me. Nearly every episode makes me tear up at least once.

Frieren takes seriously the implications of the ridiculously long lives experienced by Elves compared to other mortal creatures, especially humans. Not a spoiler because it's literally the first episode but it takes a natural death to make Frieren finally take human emotions into account and to really examine her own feelings for the first time. Until this point Frieren is aloof and almost robotic and listless.

These are all excellent choices but I have to lean on Frieren. It’s just a beautiful story as a whole

Tyler Stobbe

I’m so torn between Frieren and Dr. Stone, you have no idea. I think I will lean Frieren because it’s almost positively going to be the Anime of the Fall Season, just like Oshi No Ko got the award for Spring. That, and Dr. Stone has 3+ seasons, while Frieren is still airing its first season and if you do 2x you should be able to catch up and finish before Spring’s lineup starts in earnest.

kamenriderhime

Patreon is glitchy tonight, sorry! Glad you got it worked out! I usually default to sub so that's no problem!

kamenriderhime

It kinda makes sense to use the new one as the jumping on point! I loved the live action! And honestly I love what I've seen of the current anime too. I'm really open to anything!

Leonie2003

Of course I Vote for Dr. Stone, but I also Like Frieren. You should check out both☺️

Leonie2003

Thank you Tyler. I wish you a happy new year too. I love your comments. They are so detailed ❣️☺️

I don't know why, but my vote is always immediately cancle out after a few seconds. I vote for Dr. Stone, but then my vote disappeared.

Imani Brooks

Since Haikyuu lost, any chance of it getting placed on the roster sometime in the future since it was runner up?

Spadeas

I voted Frieren of course, I've already told you that this one and Undead Unluck are in the list of show I loved this season. So even if Frieren win, I still I will continue to promote Undead Unluck lol. Because I really think this is a series right up your alley.

kamenriderhime

Hey!!! A few folks have been having issues voting, I'm not sure why, but here's a fix from someone here in the comments: "Quickly voted and left the poll and came back and it was still there." You could also trying logging out/back in, trying a different device, closing/restarting the app if you're using it, etc.! Sorry about that!

kamenriderhime

That's a good question! I'd be totally open to that, or at least automatically putting it on the next poll since it was second place! Voting is still going on though, so there's still time!!

Manny

Yes, we are still in this. Dont count it out just yet!

Manny

Let's go Haikyuu!!!!

Imani Brooks

Nah, I knew we were cooked the instant Friren pulled ahead. That show beat FMAB on MAL after all. Its fans are no joke. We got it next time!

Imani Brooks

Yay! I forever stand by me thinking you'll love it. I can't wait to watch you watch it one day!
