Hey everyone!  Here I am with season 2, episode 12 of Camp Camp!!!  WHOAAA you guys this one was everything I'd hoped for and more!  SO MANY THINGS make more sense now lol, and wow, who would've guessed that the FBI agents were Ered's dads?!  Or that Dolph's dad was a US military guy?!  I wasn't too surprised on poor Nerf's background though, but there were
a few others that were fun and unexpected, like Harrison's magic being some sort of mutation that is parents are terrified of lol.  And wow, we better make sure Nikki and Neil don't end up brother and sister!!!  Last but not least, I LOVED the dynamic between David, Gwen and Max in this one.  He can be so mean and now we can all see what's going on under all that angst.
I love that David even has a bit of a somber moment here with him.  It was so sweet!  Never thought I'd tear up on a show like this!  What a season you guys!  Great ep, enjoy!  ~ MH

This is my second favorite finale of the show. I love the new autographed posters you got. It’s funny that David & Gwen actually tried to let the kids know about parents day with posters and it still didn’t work. And Cameron showing up for parents day acting shady just makes the episode better. Also Space Kid yelling Santa when he shows up is the best. It’s not surprising that Cameron is freaking out about this with how shady the camp is. The “blank are here” from the Quartermaster will never get old. Also Cameron’s “fuck” had the perfect delivery it’s hilarious and has one of the best cut to the opening moments LMAO. I think the twist of the government agents being Ered’s dads is some really nice/cool representation & I like how it also ties into the government being suspicious of Cameron. I love how this episode shows how all the campers are influenced by their parents either by being similar to them or trying to be different/distant from their parents as well as how a lot of things with the kids make sense once you see their parents. Like with Nerris who has my favorite parents and how her love of fantasy and role-play comes from her father or Nurf’s mom sadly being what you might expect and how her wanting to better herself is probably why he is trying to do the same thing. I like that when Max thought Space Kid had neglectful parents he actually started to show empathy towards him before the crazy Buzz reveal. I enjoyed Max being put with David & Gwen because of the interesting interactions it brought about even if they weren’t the happiest interactions because of the situation. I like the detail that Preston yells a lot because his grandma is hard of hearing. The stuff with Neil’s father & Candi is written purposefully cringy which is why I enjoy it especially with the funny interactions it created between Neil & Nikki. Cameron jumping out the window after the Jermy stuff is brought to light which looks/sounds really bad is one of the funniest things in this episode. I love how most of the plays the kids & parents are wholesome because it shows that while the families might not be traditional or are even dysfunctional the parents/family actually care about the kids. The play with Nerris’s parents is the best one it’s just so damn heartwarming. Also the Candi/Neil’s dad moment is exactly the kind of wild thing this show should be known for and Nikki not realizing what is going on is the cherry on top. Which is sadly why Max was becoming increasingly angry/upset/mean as the day went on because seeing family that actually cares just kept reminding him that his parents just don’t. I think it’s great writing to have this moment be where David made a mistake & lost his cool because I like when even a character like David isn’t perfect it’s more relatable. I love that David chose a kid who needed him who he cared about more over just a man he respected it shows what truly matters to him. I love that David got real with Max at the end here. It just shows that talking about a problem is most often better than ignoring it. I also love how it shows that Max, David and Gwen have really sweet relationships with each other even if they don’t often show it. The hug Max gives to David just warms the heart. Cameron’s rant at the end of the episode never fails to make me laugh it’s such a good performance LOL. I agree Nerris has the most well-adjusted parents and besides Max unfortunately I think Nikki’s mom is the worst because of how inattentive she is which is sad because Nikki deserves better. I’m glad you enjoyed this finale so much because it’s one of my favorite episodes. This episode went to a darker place so I’m glad it had a happy ending. This episode is great with how it recontextualizes a lot of stuff about Max & shows more of his humanity which helps when it comes to understanding him. Oh and something cool after this episode is that there were fanfics of David or Gwen or both ending up adopting Max some of which are really good stories. Awesome reaction & thoughts. Keep up the great work. :-) <3 I

Thank you so much!!! And I loved how this one showed off everyone's backgrounds and how they're influenced by them so much. Cameron was also on fire in this one haha! The stuff about Max is actually really telling and sad. David's connection with Max is so good! Cameron's rant LOL!!! I know, Nikki deserves way better! This definitely puts Max in a whole new light. AWWWW I love the idea that they'd adopt Max haha!!! Thanks so much!!!!!!

This is another favorite episode. Also, if you remember back to the second episode of season one when they were looking for a mascot, Harrison pulled a rabbit out of his hat then made it disappear. David told him to bring it back and he said “I don’t know how to bring things back, this is kinda why I’m here.” Such amazing foreshadowing 🤣
