Dev Log #74 - Last sprint! (Patreon)

Hi all! With the end of April not too far away, it's time to keep everyone updated on what's to come!
Final legwork
Over the last week, it has been pedal to the metal as it was a render marathon of me as the last scenes of E2E are rendered, weighing in at about 400 new renders this week alone, bringing the total new renders to about 1,300!
With that said, I do have one-half of a scene left to render before completion and I aim to have this done and sent to the queue for rendering by the end of this Saturday!
Once the renders are done and dusted, I'll be having many cups of coffee as I fully commit to storywriting and fleshing out as much of the new side story as possible, while squashing the remaining bugs from the early preview as well as adding a new quality-of-life feature: custom save names, which I believe to be long overdue considering the number of branches available in the main story!
Okay, okay, but when is the release date?!
As discussed before, I will not give an exact release date as I do not want to pressure myself into delivering something possibly half-baked (i.e. crashing, script errors, etc.), however, I will say that the alpha will be released before the end of April!
Do bear with me as I enter this final sprint of development, and rest assured that I will give updates as soon as things are ready!
What's on the horizon after E2E?
I will be resuming the work on Episode 3 right after, of course! With how E2E's side story has panned out, along with the newly added scenes for Episode 2, it has helped to solidify my development plans for Episode 3 even further, as I did have small reservations about how certain scenes would play out given that they were not in Episode 2, but now that these scenes have been added in the upcoming update, I feel more confident moving forward and I will be sharing more once we enter the month of May!
Update on dev log and custom renders!
This will be the last dev log until E2E is released, as I intend to utilize the following Friday to focus more on finishing the development strong and getting everything ready! Previews and additional previews will still be posted as per usual!
On a final note, the April custom renders will be delayed slightly due to the development of the game but I aim to have them ready before May 5th, and then share them soon after!
