Dev Log #88 - A 2D transformation! (Patreon)
Content
Hi all! Another week, another dev-log! Let's get into it!
Development update
Development is going at a steady pace, as I've just finished up one of the new endings that can be found in the free-roam! When it comes to Episode 3, I really wanted to push myself in delivering see-through shots and internal shots, something that I dabbled with in E2E with Alexis' scene, showcasing the entire digestion process from start to finish.
This ending is in a similar vein to that ending, but with a different mode of ingestion (wink, wink).
On other fronts, I've been busy with refining the dialogue and flow of the game, while waiting for the above-completed scene to finish rendering as the scene is taking slightly longer than I expected to render, but I should have the scene ready by the end of the week!
Aside from this large ending, I do have a few more miscellaneous scenes to render, ranging from conversation renders to a few steamy ones, and I will be looking to wrap up on renders in the coming week and focus my attention on dialogue and in-game scene flow!
Quick side notes!
With there being two releases this month, the custom renders will be slightly delayed in their posting for this month, and I will look to have them ready and posted before the 9th of September (i.e. August renders). This delay will also give me enough breathing room, as it will be quite a hectic month!
Also, the outfit poll that was mentioned that should have gone live earlier this week (i.e. the second outfit poll following Alexis') will be posted later this weekend instead. I apologize for the delay!
---------------------------------------- E3 TEST RELEASE BREAKDOWN --------------------------
Story: 100% done.
Renders: 92.5% done. One new ending scene ended up being more complex than expected but was completed in the end! The render count is at 1,860, increased by 157 from last week. Up 2.5% from last week.
Dialogue: 90% done. Small dialogue work while working on the new ending scene as described above. Up 2.5% from last week.
Game Playability: 70% done. Renders are being integrated into the game at a steady pace. Up 10% from last week.
--------------------------------------------- END OF BREAKDOWN ----------------------------------------
To end off this dev-log, over the last week, I commissioned some pixel art illustrations of a few characters from Cara in Creekmaw! While their use will be kept mom for now, here's a sneak peek at Cara's illustration, from her 3D render to her 2D illustration!
That's all for this week! I'll be back to work for the coming week as I aim to start wrapping up various parts of the test release as soon as the dev log. See you then!
Stay safe and healthy!
