Back then the all men came back with shell shock. They used drugs drink and violence to numb the horrors of war. No understanding of therapy back then you didnt show anyone you were suffering as it was a sign of weakness. So sad to see but the horrors and the consequences of war, violence and crime are always shown in Peaky so it always feel very real.
