☆ APRIL POSTCARD + STICKER ☆// Silent Sunsets (Patreon)

How are you doing today? ^^ I hope things are going well! I wanted to change things up compositionally (is that even a word haha) for this month's pieces and am really happy with the results. Did you know Procreate has a perspective tool? Well I sure didn't until very recently and wow it's an incredible asset and was a great help in completing this month's postcard piece (above)! 

Like Picasso I've been going through a blue period lately, though probably not for the same reasons. I just really enjoy blue and the variety of rich shades and tints. It makes a piece feel so calming and dreamy, things I've been searching for in my own life as well lately. I had a strong image in my head of a witch drawing in her studio apartment that overlooks the city. She captures the skies from her view of the world to add to her always growing collection of whimsical paintings. I had a lot of fun trying out new things with this piece from the perspective to the room decor. ^^ 

And here's the sticker for this month! Skies have long been one of my favorite things to draw and it's nice changing up the sticker art from the usual linework + flat shading I do. I wanted to create a piece that felt very atmospheric and magical. I really enjoyed working in this style and want to make more artwork like it in the future that focuses on nature and the massive scale of it in relation to humans.
