Sketch page: more deep woods denizens (Patreon)
Content
Got a better handle on the direction I want to take this project in, aesthetics-wise. And with that: more fashion sketches, because they're the most fun to draw and wind up accumulating in my sketchbook pages. A couple of these were drawn from reference but most were from imagination and/or kitbashed together loosely using the general ~vibes~ of the cultures and time periods I'm attempting to hearken to.
Upperclass folk will wear loose and billowy draping fabrics that brush past the fetlocks to demonstrate indifference to underbrush and lifted roots, inconveniences that are never encountered high above in the tiers of the tree city known as the upper boughs.
In the lower boughs, in the under-city of the Lichens, where ranchers, miners, and other workers make their homes, clothing styles are made with mobility in mind; hems hiked up and tucked away, legs below the hock wrapped to protect the wearer from snagging thorns.
