My Patreon & Akumi - The New Direction (Patreon)

So I started my Patreon October 10, 2015. I'd recently been laid off my job of 10 years and had no idea what to do for money. Going back to the animation industry was out of the question, I hated working on animations for studios. My friend suggested Patreon and so it began.

3+ years it's grown so much and so have I. I spent the first 1.5 years just trying to bring in support with different ideas: game assets, commissions and NSFW content.  All have contributed to my pages growth.  With the selling of my house and my Patreon Supporters, I was free to work on my art full-time. 

This year was the biggest growth spurt yet with me finding the reason I started do art in the first place, fun and joy. Go figure...  I can say without a doubt I feel absolutely free and feel a complete appreciation for my Patreon supporters. I'm in place I can bring my best work to you again with what I do best, animations. No more rushed, quantity over quality animations like: Akumi Xtreme and everything after. It's gonna be quality, passion and fun animations.

The New Animation Work Flow

So here's my plan for now. I talked to Dave about it and he agreed. We'll adjust it as needed.

• Create small animation sequences where we dump every ounce of quality we're capable of into it.
• With each animation completed, create an art-book and audio sound track for said animation.
• Rinse and repeat
• When we have a good amount, bundle them into a package.

NSFW Content

My NSFW content created the most growth for my page. But it's hit a plateau. I believe it's because only making NSFW content is not my only joy. Some of my animations and art are NSFW content but it's not the only thing I do. I enjoy adult content. Even when I was married I enjoyed it. It's why I don't limit myself to keeping my art mainstream on here. If I decide to make something naughty, I'll make it. We'll continue to have fun with NSFW content as usual but my main focus will be the animations.  This way I fulfill all my artistic appetites.

In Conclusion

Instead of being a flood light, I'm gonna be a laser again for animation. Anything outside of my animations is no longer priority. Lets see what we can truly build this year with my new mentality. Commissions are out unless we've already discussed making a commission. After that, I'm unsure when I'll open them again.
