"It's like a train wreck," Hermione muttered as she watched the naked girls Harry had summoned share a kiss on Harry's bed. "I should be hitting you with a newspaper."
"It's a bit distracting," Harry admitted, not looking up from writing the runes for their transformation rings on a scrap of parchment. 'You'll have plenty of time to look and mess around later, just focus on getting the runes done.'
One of the girls stopped kissing her 'twin' long enough to ask, "Do you want us to stop?"
Harry twisted around in his chair so he could see Hermione and the two naked girls that looked a fair amount like Hermione other than their wavy blue hair. "I plead the fifth."
"We're in England, not America," Hermione pointed out.
Harry gave Hermione a dirty look then focused on the girls. "As much as I don't want to give anyone orders, I actually need to focus and you're making it hard."
"Hopefully that's not the only thing we're making hard," the other girl teased.
Harry went back to drawing the runes he was planning on using, unable to disagree but unwilling to encourage the girls when they had a limited amount of time to get everything done.
"We should stop before Hermione decides to toss us over her knee and spank us silly," the first girl said with a smile that said she'd probably enjoy it.
Hermione ignored the mental images her brain conjured up. "Have you figured out what you're going to call yourself?"
"Like names?" the oldest summon asked.
Hermione nodded. "Exactly. Calling you hey you or One or Two seems rude and might cause confusion in a fight."
"Rose?" the oldest summon asked her twin.
"Ivy?" the other girl asked thoughtfully, glancing over at Harry.
"I don't have any objection," Harry offered, glad they hadn't gone with anything too weird or long.
"Sounds good to me," Rose replied as she sat up. "Fun and games aside, do we have an actual plan?"
"You mean beyond having you and Ivy summon minions so you can blast the Death Eaters while they're distracted, not really," Hermione admitted.
"What about using a disillusionment charm?" Ivy asked.
"There are counters but the range is a bit limited," Hermione said, thinking about the human revealing spell that let people know there was someone in range.
"In other words, they'll be dead before they find us," Rose said cheerfully.
"Do you have motion lights at your house?" Ivy asked Hermione, wondering what they had to work with.
"Yeah, why?" Hermione asked.
"The wizards are probably going to be using night vision charms, if we replace the bulbs with halogen bulbs, we should be able to blind them," Ivy replied with a smirk.
"More like burn out their retinas," Hermione mused, fairly sure her father had some in the garage.
"Do you have any other evil ideas?" Harry asked as he finished the last rune.
Rose smiled at Hermione. "You mean like chaining Hermione to the bed and having our wicked way with her?"
"Or ideas for dealing with the Death Eaters?" Ivy asked, going quiet when someone knocked on the door.
"What do you need?" Harry asked, ready to drop his summoning in case it was someone that didn't know about his abilities.
"Mum wanted me to tell you that dinner was almost ready," Ginny called out.
"Just a minute," Hermione said as she walked over and unlocked the door then moved the chair she'd used to block the door from opening and opened the door. "Thanks for telling us."
Ginny glanced between Hermione and the naked girls sitting on the bed that looked a lot like her friend. 'So much for having a chance with Harry, he doesn't even realize he's head over heels. Probably for the best,' she told herself as she walked into Harry's room. "If you're taking pictures, I want one."
"Nice idea," Ivy agreed.
Hermione gave Ginny a dirty look. "Don't encourage them."
"No promises," Ginny replied with a grin. "Have you finished the rings?" she asked as she walked over to look at Harry's project.
"Not yet," Harry admitted as he turned back around so he could get to work. "It shouldn't take more than a couple of minutes, assuming people can stop talking for a couple of minutes."
"Of course, we have a redhead to play with," Ivy teased as she gestured for Ginny to come over to the bed.
Ginny shook her head. "As much as I'd like a massage, we don't have the time and I really don't want Mum sending someone to find us."
"Give me two minutes of quiet so I can finish the rings," Harry ordered as he started working on drawing the runes on one of the goblin silver rings that Hermione had created, wanting to get them done so the girls could practice summoning while everyone else had dinner.
Rose quietly walked over to watch Harry work, mostly because some of the details for creating the rings were a touch fuzzier than she'd like. 'With how summoning works, Ivy and I should be almost as skilled and strong as Harry in his magic girl form which means that we'll be pretty close to double our current strength once we have our rings. If we each summon some minions, that should give us ten to twelve each which should be more than enough to just blast the shit out of any of the Death Eaters that show up to wreck Hermione's stuff.'
Harry for his part did his best to ignore everything other than the designs he was drawing on the ring, mostly because he didn't want to make a mistake.
'At least his summons aren't demons,' Hermione thought as Ivy walked over and leaned up against her. 'Mostly,' she added when Ivy lightly grabbed her hand and moved it to her butt. She gave Ivy's behind a light squeeze then ran her fingers over Ivy's silky smooth skin before resting her hand on the other girl's hip.

'Cowards,' Severus thought as watched the group of recruits walk up the path towards Granger's residence, fairly sure none of them would have the courage to get near the house if they'd actually known what happened to the last group. 'No sign of Potter's so-called help, not that I was expecting anything.' He froze in place when the new recruits opened the gate and a motion light turned on, illuminating the front yard with an eye-searingly bright light and causing the group to cover their eyes. 'At least the quality of the recruits has decreased.'
He almost missed it when the group went from a group of wizards trying to get their vision back to chunks of meat hitting the concrete path as they were torn apart by something silent and invisible. 'What the fuck?' he asked himself as he froze in place, not wanting to draw anyone's attention his way on the off chance they could see through his disillusionment charm. 'Hit wizards? Irish? Friends of Hagrid?' he mused, more than a little disturbed by one of the bodies vanishing which caused the man's gear to fall to the ground with barely a sound or at least nothing he could hear from across the street.
He stared as the rest of the bodies quickly followed the first followed by their wands then clothes and gear other than their masks. He frowned as the pools of blood coating the ground vanished, leaving the scene looking exactly like it was before the Death Eaters had shown up. 'Where the hell did he find professionals?' he mused as the gate swung shut and the motion light went off, plunging the area into darkness. 'Screw it, I should make sure Potter is where he's supposed to be.'
Harry relaxed slightly when Snape vanished from the roof across the street. "And we're clear."
"Good, we should probably get back before he checks to make sure you're where you're supposed to be," Sirius pointed out.
"Sure…" Harry trailed off as a glowing figure in an invisibility cloak appeared outside the property. "Don't shoot, he doesn't have a dark mark," he whispered to the collection of summoned girls standing on the roof.
Neville glanced down at the compass he was holding then teleported to the door and rang the doorbell. "Please be home."
Hermione walked over to the edge of the roof and looked down. "Neville?"
Neville jumped slightly then tilted his compass on its side, causing the arrow to point towards where the voice was coming from. "Hermione?" he asked, not sure as the girl didn't sound exactly like Hermione.
"Not that it's not nice to see you but what are you doing here?" Hermione asked, trying to sound more like herself.
"I tried sending a letter but the family owl wouldn't even try. Can I come up or…" he trailed off as his compass spun and he heard a faint sound like someone landing next to him. "Did you just jump off the roof?" he asked, not quite looking in the right direction thanks to her disillusionment charm and the fact that it was dark.
"What's your toad's name?" Hermione asked, ready to stun him if he gave the wrong answer.
"He wandered off but his name was Trevor," Neville replied as he pulled the hood of his cloak down so that she could see him. "Trouble?"
"Just a bit," Hermione admitted as Harry jumped down, landing with a decent amount of agility.
Harry changed back, the mist covered by his cloak. "Death Eaters decided to attack Hermione's house earlier."
"Sorry," Neville offered.
"It wasn't your fault," Hermione assured him.
"What happened?" Neville asked, fairly sure it was his fault one way or another.
"Let's go inside, I'm not sure if that's the last of them," Hermione said as she opened the door.
"Nice cloak," Harry said as he walked into Hermione's house.
"Thanks," Neville replied as he followed Harry into Hermione's house.
Hermione walked in and shut the door then changed back to her normal form, causing her to appear out of thin air. "Try not to use any magic, I don't need another letter from the ministry."
"Another one?" Neville asked.
Hermione reached over and turned on the lights. "Someone blew up some Death Eaters earlier and used magic around someone with the trace, they assumed I was home."
"Sorry," Neville admitted.
"Not your fault," Hermione assured him.
"It sort of was," Neville admitted. "I was looking for you earlier and I ran into some Death Eaters."
"What happened? We heard there was a fight, did you see who killed them?" Harry asked, hoping for more information.
"I wasn't going to let them kill Hermione so I opened a portal," Neville admitted, knowing he had to trust someone with his new powers. "One of the plants pulled them through with a bit of help."
"Thank you," Hermione said as she pulled Neville into a hug. "Sorry."
"I'm fine," Neville replied with a smile.
"There's obviously a story there but let's deal with the trace," Harry said as he handed Neville a ring. "This should temporarily change you into a twenty year old magic girl which should break the trace."
"Is this a prank?" Neville asked, looking at Hermione.
"No, it has to do with the fact that the trace can't be cast on anyone over seventeen," Hermione assured him. "Just put it on and focus on changing into a girl."
Neville glanced between his friends then slipped the ring on his finger and focused, transforming to a busty dark haired woman wearing a large t-shirt that reached his mid thighs. "Where did you find the ring?"
"I made it," Harry replied, grinning when he pulled a goblin silver ring out of his pocket and held it out for Neville. "Here, this one unlocks a wider range of magical talents."
Neville pulled his attention off his breasts which he could see down the front of his robes and accepted the ring. "How do I change back?"
"Same way as you changed into a girl, only picture changing back to your normal form," Hermione suggested, glad that Neville wasn't freaking out about getting turned into a girl for a minute.
Neville focused on the ring and changed back to his normal appearance then took the ring off and handed it to Harry. "Here." He slipped the goblin silver ring on. "Where did you learn to charm rings to change your appearance?"
"From a magic book in a shop," Harry replied. "Don't tell anyone, it's a secret."
"Where did you get an invisibility cloak?" Hermione asked, knowing they were rare and expensive.
"From a trunk in the castle," Neville replied. "I ran into some really weird merchants earlier and sort of traded some things for magical items."
"What did you trade?" Hermione asked warily, noticing his slightly sheepish look.
"I sort of sold everything I own and banished two of my family members to another dimension," Neville admitted, not sure he should tell her about selling his ability to get a decent night's sleep until she calmed down.
"What?!" Hermione sputtered. "Why would you do that?"
"Because the guy was offering a way to cure my parents and open portals to worlds with strange and magical plants that can cure diseases," Neville explained.
"You traded away family," Hermione asked in disbelief.
"I'm related to Draco and Bellatrix Lestrange," Neville cut in before she could launch into a rant or get the wrong idea.
"Oh," Hermione admitted, having forgotten how interconnected the wizarding world was. "What else did you get?"
"Schematics for a legendary alchemy apparatus that I can't make heads or tales of, a ring that lets me travel back in time to a point where I'd lost something and interact with things without changing time and a crown that lets me teleport into pictures, video games or television worlds which is how I grabbed this." Neville pulled the Final Fantasy ribbon out of his pocket and held it out for Hermione to see. "According to the strategy guide, this should protect you from most status effects and possibly even the killing curse, I haven't had a chance to test it."
Hermione stared at Neville. "You teleported into a video game?"
"No, the strategy guide had a picture of a treasure chest, I jumped into the picture and opened the chest." Neville pulled the protection ring that he'd grabbed out of his pocket and tossed it to Harry. "This should boost your magic resistance and might help against the death curse."
Harry raised his eyebrows as he examined the gold ring. "Are you sure you don't need it?"
"I can always teleport back to the bookshop and grab a different strategy guide," Neville assured him as he pulled a copy of the schematics out of his belt pouch and handed them to Hermione. "Can you make heads or tales of these?"
"Give me a second," Hermione said as she glanced over the complicated schematics.
"If you picked up something to cure your parents, why are you here?" Harry asked as he slipped the ring on, figuring he could use the protection.
"They're making up for lost time," Neville admitted as he glanced around the living room.
"Sounds like a reason to bail," Harry agreed. "So you're looking for interesting things to grab?"
"Basically," Neville agreed as he pulled out the extra copy of Harry's wand and cloak that he hadn't used. "I also wanted to see if you needed an extra copy of your cloak and wand."
Harry glanced between the familiar shimmering fabric that Neville was holding and his hood then looked at the familiar wand he was holding. "How?"
"My ring lets me jump back in time to a moment where I lost something and interact with the scene without causing a paradox, including taking copies of things with me," Neville explained.
"Can we save people?" Harry asked hopefully, thinking about his parents.
Neville shook his head. "No, just collect things."
"Rats," Harry muttered, thinking about the various things he'd lost over the years.
Hermione looked up from the schematics. "That's still incredibly useful."
"Any luck with the schematics?" Neville asked as he put the cloak and extra wand on the coffee table, hoping she had some idea where to start.
Hermione pointed at one section of the schematics. "It would be easier if we found a magical glassblower or an engineer with a machine shop but we should be able to put everything together."
"Can I borrow the ring that lets you go back in time?" Harry asked.
Hermione handed the schematics back to Neville then turned to look at Harry. "What are you going to grab?"
"I wouldn't mind grabbing the Philosopher's Stone, I should be able to grab it while I was unconscious but before Dumbledore gets there," Harry explained his idea.
Neville took the ring off and tossed it to Harry. "Don't get yourself killed."
"I'm not planning on it," Harry replied as he slipped Neville's ring on. "How do I use it?"
"Just picture what you lost in your mind and jump," Neville explained, not sure how to explain it any better.
"Stay safe and come back," Hermione ordered.
"I love you too." Harry summoned his invisibility cloak then focused on his loss of innocence when he'd killed Quirrell and jumped. He shivered as he found himself back in the room with the mirror and a corpse that was quickly breaking apart. He took a step back as the twisted wraith flowed through his younger self then flew through the wall as his younger self collapsed. 'Yeah, because that's not terrifying.'
'Nothing you can do for him,' he reminded himself as he walked over and stole the stone from his younger self's pocket. 'Best of luck, you're going to need it.' He glanced at the mirror that showed him hugging his parents. 'Hope springs eternal,' he mused as he teleported back to the present and let his cloak vanish.
"We're still going to need an alchemist to figure out how to use it," Hermione pointed out, surprised that Neville's ring could duplicate the stone.
"If nothing else, it makes a good paperweight." Harry pointed at the cabinet filled with movies. "Can you think of anything worth liberating?"
"The sword from the Black Cauldron, it's a magical sword that burns with flame," Hermione mused as she walked over to look over the movies her parents had. "Lightsaber? Nah, we'd never be able to recharge it. Phaser? Same problem," she mused.
"I wouldn't mind a flaming sword," Neville said, not sure what the other two things were.
"Let's start with that," Hermione said as she grabbed the tape and walked over to the VCR.
Harry paused when he noticed the Back to the Future tape on the shelf. "If we stole a time machine, would it work?"
"I doubt it," Hermione replied as she put the tape in the machine. "Besides, all of the methods of traveling through time I can think of have issues."
"If you're ruling out time travel, do you have a way to bring my parents back to life?" Harry asked, figuring she was more familiar with games and legends than he was on account of the Dursleys' hatred of anything connected to magic.
"Most of the role playing games I've played have some method of bringing people back to life." Hermione frowned when the credits came up. "Someone forgot to rewind it. On second thought, that might be better, we can steal it from the witches at the end."
"I guess I could open a portal," Neville mused as Hermione hit a button and words on the screen started going back down and weird lines appeared across the screen. "Is it supposed to do that?"
"It's just because I'm rewinding the tape," Hermione replied absently, looking for a good place to steal the blade from on the off chance the world was real and not some type of pocket dimension. "We can try phoenix downs from Final Fantasy, it should be easy enough to get to a shop. If that doesn't work, we can try one of my dad's video games or jump into the Stargate movie and use a sarcophagus to bring them back."
Neville sighed. "This is why I needed help."
Hermione stopped the tape when she got to the part where the witches brought Taran's friend back to life. "That's what friends are for. Ready?"
"Ready," Neville focused on the point near the sword and opened a portal when everything started moving. He reached through the portal, grabbed the sword and pulled it out then quickly shut the portal when the witches on the screen started screaming a couple of seconds before the credits rolled. He looked at the shiny knight sword with a smile. "It's not the sword of Gryffindor but it works."
Harry shook his head. "Gryffindor's sword would probably just end up back in the hat."
"Fair enough," Neville admitted as he set the sword on the table. "What else should we grab?"
Hermione stopped the tape then pushed the rewind button. "Let's see what we can find to bring people back from the dead." She walked over to the family computer in the corner and turned it on. "After that we can look at the magical fashion game my cousin installed the last time she was here, we can probably grab something for the girls and Neville's alternate form."
"Oh right, I should test that," Neville said as he focused on the goblin silver ring and transformed into a naked teenage girl with dark purple almost black hair. "Sorry, I was expecting to have a shirt like the other ring," he apologized. "Do you have a mirror?"
"In the bathroom," Hermione pointed towards the hallway. "First door on your right."
"Thanks," Neville replied as he walked to the bathroom, glad that it wasn't his bits he was showing off.
"He makes a cute girl," Hermione whispered once Neville vanished into the bathroom.
"No comment," Harry replied as he walked over to the computer. "What are you going to start with?"
"I was thinking Final Fantasy, it has magic item shops and phoenix downs are cheap enough in most of the games," Hermione explained as she sat down, figuring there were a number of items they could grab before they had to get back.
"You're the expert," Harry said, looking forward to seeing what they could find that would turn the wizarding world on its head.
