If you want to see the two best disaster films ever made, got to catch out The Poseidon Adventure (1972) and The Towering Inferno (1974). The Poseidon Adventure also won 2 Academy Awards and was nominated for 9. The Towering Inferno won 3 Academy Awards and was nominated for 8 including Best Picture.
