Thanks guys! This was actually very helpful and uplifting. My sister also mentioned therapy. That's probably a good idea and I'm pretty open to it. I do write like poetry slash rap when I'm all up in my feels. It's a good way to vent when I feel like everything is bottled up. My mother went through surgery yesterday for a aneurysm in her stomach that was on the verge of bursting. They are watching over her very closely to make sure it was successful. Her health isn't the best and recovery is basically a coin flip. The doctors are doing everything they can. I'm doing my best to stay positive. Been at the hospital for 23 days now and I'm not going anywhere. I started video documenting all our time together and using it in my art. That's also helping. I want every memory I can get. Lost my day a few years ago. That was tough but I've always been closer to my mother. I'm feeling so many emotions at once. That's why I agree maybe therapy is the way to go. Imma film and music nerd so I'm already using those as outlets haha thank you guys for lifting my spirits. I appreciate the vid more than ya know!

Really pulling for her, man. I think the most important thing is just to just be as lucid as possible and to feel whatever you're feeling. It's all valid, even when your thoughts are racing and you're feeling a bunch of different things at once. Mindfulness helps with that (the idea of being able to see and acknowledge them without necessarily plugging directly into each one). Sounds like you're doing that and it's great that you're taking the time out to be there and to capture these moments. No matter the outcome or the pain of the experience, you're doing what's important and it's impossible to regret that. Glad to hear you're able to channel some of these feelings into creativity. Some of the most potent art can come from that place and if you ever decide to share it, you never know who will be grateful for that chord you struck. Therapy can be tricky to get, depending on your situation, but there are places online you can go, as well as sliding-scale/pay-what-you-can clinics if the traditional route isn't as friendly. Friends & family are definitely important as well, but it can also be incredibly beneficial just having one person whose sole role in your life is to help you engage with & better understand your thoughts and emotions, but who isn't directly affected by your choices beyond those conversations. Especially in the face of significant strain or trauma, it can make a world of difference. The important thing is to listen to yourself and to try different things until you find the right combination for you. Really glad if this helped some, even if only just a little. :) We really appreciate you being here and opening up. Sounds like your head's in the right place and especially for your mom, I'm sure that means the world. I know it's not much, but we're sending all the love & good vibes we can muster!!

It's hard when our parents get sick. My dad died of cancer and my mom has dementia. I look after her. I'm sure your mom appreciates having you near her. I hope she gets better. Take care of yourself. Eat. Sleep. Get fresh air. Reach out to your family and friends for support. Best of luck to you Roman.
