What Box Office Bombs Do We Love?!

Jason Dolan

Bonnie & Clyde - Badlands - True Romance is the romance trilogy litmus test for any perspective mate. Also, John... Lethal Weapon is a CHRISTMAS MOVIE! Best movie dud of all time... Fight Club

Lol for you, Jason, I’ll happily accept Lethal Weapon as a Christmas movie. Ho ho ho! Looks like I got a few more catch-up flicks to add to my list haha

Ah Chappie...we named our motorbike after that film. Mine is definitely Donnie Darko, you’ve seen that right John? Seriously, go watch Fight Club.

Aww. Thanks guys. My favorite box office bombs are Ninja Assassin, Flash Gordon, and The Princess Bride. The martial arts action in Ninja Assassin is crazy. Naomi Harris and Rain are amazing in it. Flash Gordon has that awesome soundtrack by Queen and it's just grand over the top action and comedy. Who knows what a cool sequel we could have gotten if it made more money. The Princess Bride is one of the greatest fairy tale movies I've ever seen. Loaned a copy of it to my friend Paula and she had it sitting in her home for a few weeks. Didn't watch it. Paula had some kids over to her house and they asked to watch Princess Bride. Then Paula understood why I loaned it to her. She said she loved it. Thanks guys. Can't wait to see your mini movie.

Aww haha, that makes me really happy for some reason. And I'll catch up with Fight Club haha - there's a screening coming up with a live score I'm considering trying to snag a ticket for. Will report back if successful haha. And good call on Donnie Darko! (Yes haha, I have seen it). Somehow I hadn't realized that it flopped at the time! Good flick though - vintage Gyllenhaal haha.

2021-07-15 05:39:40 No problem, man! Appreciate your question :) That's a good trio! I remember we actually got to see Ninja Assassin back in the day when they were first test screening it. I don't think either of us caught the theatrical cut, but we definitely had a blast with the one we saw. Can't help but think it might've done better a few years earlier. And I can only imaaagine what a Flash sequel could've been like haha. Although we kinda got a mini one with Ted at the very least.. Forgot that Princess Bride was a flop - I think I'm always surprised when I hear that haha, but that's a terrific movie! Definitely been a staple throughout our lives as well - glad your friendo finally got around to checking it out! Ain't nothin' quite like The Princess Bride. That movie's got a little of everything! Thanks again for the question & the kind words. We're a smidge over a day away, so we're pretty excited to share it!! 😄

Yeah it was released just after 9/11, so people weren’t flocking to see a film about plane crashes and the end of the world as much as you might hope they would. Love the rad 80’s soundtrack too :-)

Ron Harrison

Cool!! Can't wait to see it.
