I wasn't around when the Blackhawks were first published in the 40's. Did some quick research. Each Blackhawks member was from an allied country and they fought the nazis in comics before the U.S. even entered World War II in real life. Spielberg could definitely do a phenomenal job with this movie. Would love to see it!!

Oh, nice! Appreciate the research, man! Of all the comic book properties out there, this definitely sounds like the perfect one for Spielberg to jump into. It'd be cool to get a different kind of ensemble with a really varied cast - and for DC, it definitely seems to work when they go back to more period territory. As left-field as this announcement may have seemed, we're actually pretty intrigued to see if and how this one shapes up!
