Love the dream sequences in this episode. Gotham already has a kinda American Horror story vibe but i feel its most apparent in this episode because of all the trippy dream stuff. its a very unique aesthetic that adds to the character of the shows setting which i really appreciate!

I apologize for the lack of engagement on this season thus far. I get anxiety every time I post something online, which is particularly silly in this instance because you and John are some of the nicest guys around. Anyway, what a journey it's been already. Last episode was some sadistic and gripping stuff. Kudos to the show for having the balls to carry out actual consequences when they could've easily played it safe. Although I agree, the Mad Hatter's apprehension was underwhelming, it also made a lot of sense. At this point, there wasn't a need for elaborate theatrics because he already accomplished his main objective: revenge on Gordon. Passion begets effort and Hatter stoked a raging fire for our poor Jimbo. There was even projectile spit - you know someone means business when saliva starts flying. Reliving Barbara's moments is so fun. I wonder what the thought process was behind her eccentricities. She really knows how to savor every morsel of villainy. I too was impressed/supportive of the Riddler/Penguin romance, so it was a little frustrating when cockblock-Ms. Kringle-doppelganger popped up. However, if memory serves me right, I think you'll warm up to the situation as it unfolds further. It doesn't bother me when Bruce and Selina have their "adult-talk". Their unconventional upbringings have no doubt forced them to mature faster than the average child. It might've started out as posturing to cope with their difficult circumstances, and then eventually integrated itself into their actual personalities.

And glad you're still watching along with me, comments or no :) That's a good point about the spit haha - when you reeaally care to disrespect someone I feel like that's where you go lol. Hoping the Riddler/Penguin/Kingleganger development improves haha, I'll keep an open mind based on what you've written here. And glad you're enjoying the Barbara moments again haha. Still surprised by the turn her character's made over time. And I can see what you're getting at with Bruce & Selina. Still didn't quite ring as authentic to me here, but they definitely had their touching moments.

Haha glad that AHS comparison is still ringing true. Always especially appreciate the times when the show goes out-there with those elements - like I said, some of the best of the show in this one!! Always enhances the comic book roots and the sort of nightmarish quality Gotham City has underneath it all. Glad you're still enjoying watchin' with me!!
