This was a really solid death note episode. We got the usual scheming with some explosive(hah) action. It was well directed and animated . As it should, since it marks a major character death . Honestly i totally forgot that chief dies in this episode . For a moment i thought it was unrealstic how his vest was shielding him from bullets, or at least how they portrayed it . But thats very minor issue . And I dont believe for one second that Light was genuine in the end with his dad . Its all fucking faked , Unless he was acting out because he just lost a important pawn in his plan . Thats all there is to it. We dont even see Lights downward spiral, hes already at the bottom. Theres no saving that asshole , lol.

Oh damn, surprised for a second time! I had the same thought when he got shot up re: the vest haha. But yeah, overall I really liked the way they handled this one. Really twists the knife while.. also being.. I guess sort of nice, because he gets the "closure" he was hoping for? UGH. It's twisted. And yeah, as for Light, I tend to fall into your camp hahaha. I think the human in me wants to believe there's SOME sort of emotion there, buuut then I remember the times he's contemplated having to kill his dad when he gets in the way, soooo 😅😓 pour one out for old Chief Yagami 😭
