Something that never occurred to me until watching with you guys just now was a connection between Ben and Adam. I remember in "Point of No Return" S5e18 that Sam was telling Adam basically that he dodged a bullet by only having John Winchester show up for a baseball game once a year and Adam responds like "Mom worked the graveyard shifts, I made myself dinner and put myself to bed....You can say whatever you want about our dad but the truth is, I would have taken ANYTHING" and then seeing this scene where Lisa is basically pitching this idea to Dean that he can go out and hunt and when he's not hunting come back to them. Like y'all were joking about (and maybe not far off, let's assume you're right) that she's been single for at least the last 5 years, then from her perspective it's like Ben has never had anything close to a father figure and she's never had a partner, so to them, getting ANY amount of time and connection with Dean is worth it. It also reminded me a bit of when Jo was talking about her dad, something like "He'd bust through the door like Steve McQueen and I'd breathe in that old leather jacket of his and my mom who'd been bitter and surly since he left would start smiling again and we'd be a family." It's crazy how many times I've seen this show and still get to appreciate some new perspectives watching it with y'all. Love that 👏

Honestly I didn’t remember season 6 of supernatural so a recently rewatched it bc I new you guys were gonna watch it..And honestly the season is really good, I think the first episodes feel a little different but trust me, after those first episodes the episodes get better and better. Idk if you guys will like season 6 more then season 5 but season 6 as a whole is very well done..If you watch the first episode of Season 6 and don’t like it or it feels different, dont worry. The problems you might have with the first few episodes are only for those. I’m saying this because I binge watched season 6 and you guys watch 1 episode per week so it might take you guys longer to get more into season 6.❤️But anyways great reaction I can’t wait for you to continue to watch these episodes

Am I the only one who thinks Ben (who is 12) needed to be reprimanded for digging in Baby's trunk and playing with a GUN without supervision or permission. My dad would have whupped my ass for that. Ben got off light. Greg and John can joke about when Dean finally unveiled Baby at the end, but I love that moment. Baby is a character in the show, and after two episodes and a season break, I missed her. Dean belongs behind the wheel of that Impala. Still, loved the reaction guys and glad you enjoyed this ep more than the last one

I'm glad you mentioned that Lisa was the one who said it didn't have to be either or, let's break the rules and how that layered her character. Back when this first aired there was a lot of fans who didn't like Lisa but I found her refreshing specifically because she didn't make Dean chose! For a female character, that does't happen a lot - women don't have to brake the hero, they can support them (and BE a hero at the same time!).

I do like Dean and Lisa as well. I can't say more without spoilers so there ya go hahahaha. She just seems to have a steady personality that I appreciate.

100% agree with you. The Deep Purple just made everything so badass! Baby has always been such an integral part of the show, and quite possibly the the most stable thing in Dean's life. When Baby is absent, we know things are off balance in some way. They set that tone in S2, and after the S5 finale there's no way they can change her importance. It doesn't feel right until she has her little moment or unveiling in the beginning of each season. And she deserves it! ETA: I'm LMAO at their reaction to that scene because I know there is Dean and Baby fanfic that was inspired by this episode. I haven't read it, but I know it exists.

I love what Greg said about Lisa. She loves and accepts Dean for who he is, flaws and all. She’s a strong woman willing and able to be flexible in the face of a very complex situation. We will see from here if they are successful in making the duality work. And I have to mention how much I love Bobby John. The kids who played him were all so cute :)

Season 6 takes a while to get to the real meat of the plot, but hang in there - things are revealed and the tension builds so It'll get more clear and become more interesting

Also, I like Lisa based on the few scenes we have with her. But I have an issue with how she is dealt with by the writers who barely give her any screen time and yet expect you to believe she is this overwhelming and necessary piece of the puzzle. Her character isn't nonexistent, but their relationship feels more like just a way to distract Dean and give conflict while they slowly give indications that Sam isn't totally okay. I wish they really gave her character her due if they were going to go that direction, but they don't do an amazing job of that so far. I also think there are much more creative and compelling ways they could have written and structured the beginning of this season in general. Lisa does get too much hate tho. I like her but I feel like they should have really dug deeper into her and dean's relationship if the wanted the audience to believe the love each other so much that they will go through so much pain for eachother.

Stand out moments of this episode: 1. "Give me the baby before I stab you in your neck" 2. Dean rocking that baby to sleep - aaaaw! 3. Unveiling the Impala - Dean is home. I'm a Dean fan through and through, but dayum, Sam is fine in Season 6! Probably at the height of his looks (cue fan arguments about which actor looks best in which season!). Really liked what you had to say about the whole Dean/Lisa relationship and the development of her character. Agree thoroughly. I'm enjoying your speculation about what is going on. All will become clear in due course. As we've said before, Sera is playing the long game in this season. And guys, feel free to watch the recaps. It's not like it used to be. They're not going to ruin anything, and I think by this point in the series, you might find them helpful. If there's an episode where we feel that it's really important you avoid them, we can warn you in advance, but I can't think of anything off the top of my head in Season 6.

I'm totally liking the Dean and Lisa "stuff". I don't understand why people aren't, other than that they don't want Dean in a relationship. I think they do it very well. It's showing us what a relationship would be like. I think Lisa is perfect for Dean. He needs someone like her. Dean actually opens up with her like he doesn't with even Sam. And that could be part of some peoples' dislike too. Life after the Apolcolypse. Back into regular hunting, I guess. I was surprised, on my first viewing, on how Dean was with Sam and his other relatives. He doesn't seem to trust them. And he doesn't seem to think much of hunters. I never questioned why Sam called Dean for help with the baby and not Samual. I think Sam called Dean for help because it's who he would automatically call. He had left Dean alone for a year, but now that they're back in contact, he wants to be with Dean. That's how I saw it. Maybe he was trying to get Dean back into hunting. Other than the other monsters, angels and demons - and a few humans - I don't think humans ever made any connection to what was going on being the actual apocolypse. Unlike what is happening right now in 2020, where it obviously IS the apocolypse. We are living through season 5! ;)

Oh, I forgot. Jensen directed an episode this season! Is first time ever directing. There's a behind the scenes video covering it too. 30 minutes long. You should watch it when you are ready. Don't know if you want something like that during the season or not. You don't need to worry about reacting to it either. Unless you want to.
