3 years later I’m finally watching you guys react to these! And I’m loving it! I’ll add a little fun fact if it hasn’t been said yet, Torchwood is an anagram of Doctor Who!

1. I think Mickeys shush finger is meant to be him telling rose don’t react or you’ll blow my cover, hence why there isn’t a huge reunion hug etc but I get what you mean even just a subtle facial reaction shot from rose would clear that up more. 2. Jackie said at the beginning that the ghosts came through the first time and everyone on earth panicked and went a bit crazy, especially since the doctor wasn’t there to stop it, but after time they realised the ghosts weren’t harming anyone and over time they got used to them being a thing hence why everyone was comfortable with them and why it was integrated into normal life. Johns comment about the geographical location being the same when they jump planet could be correct but I don’t think it’s confirmed in the next episode so it would be as he said a head canon but I dig it 👍 3. Torchwood starts after the events of this two parter and the basic premise without spoiling anything is that Captain Jack takes over Torchwood and fixes the problems they’ve created from this and other previous alien incursions (eg the ship in the Shetland’s and the sycorax ship etc) and makes Torchwood better. So I can see where your coming from as they aren’t exactly the best people in this two parter but trust us it is worth it and you’ll be happy you watched/reacted to it 👌👌 4. Loved the reaction to mickey and the Daleks, two of the biggest oh shit moments in this episode. This is the first time in the shows history where the two big bads (the equivalent to Star treks The Borg or the Klingons) have faced the Doctor in the same episodes as previously they hadn’t met over the last 40 years so this is a major oh shit reveal for the fans that grew up watching the show (still an oh shit moment regardless but you get what I mean) 5. The next episode to you both “I will break him” sums it up nicely, I look forward to your reaction

1. Got to disagree with you there. If Rose reacted despite Mickey's "shush" that would just make her an idiot. He's asking her to keep his cover. Seems weird to me that the guys were fussing over that. It's like us SPN fans demanding our bro hug!

I think you might help yourselves with understanding what's going on if you stop referring to "ghosts". There are no ghosts. They are just the cybermen coming through. The Doctor gave an explanation of what was happening when he demonstrated shattering the glass. I don't want to explain any further because I can't remember how much has already been made clear in this episode vs. what becomes clearer next episode (well, technically it's two episodes but it's obviously a two parter). If you're still not sure by the end of that one, we can clarify for you.

HBO Max seems really choppy to me... all the other sources you were watching from seemed fine. Anyone else having this issue? Back when you were watching from the first source you used both the timing and playback seemed perfect.

I'm getting the same issue, been using bbc iplayer to watch the episodes synced but i've had major issues the last few episodes and had to watch the highlights instead
