Not sure if they didn't notice they were in 9/10's TARDIS toward the end or if it didn't surprise them all that much?

And there you have the reason why the Tardis is rarely accurate and something happens everywhere they go! It takes him where and when he's needed! :)

Aka my favorite ep of the season!

First half of this season is a little rough. Great episode (like this one in my opinion) are mixed up with some filler ones. Also the overall arc is only hinted in passing remarks. But, as always in this show, the awesomeness is coming ;)

It would be pretty cool to see you guys react to the first episode at some point. Either when you’ve caught up or possibly if you’ve time when you get around to the fiftieth anniversary. Though, there’s a lot of extra stuff like a prequel short and even a sort of biopic on the show that are tied to that so it would already be difficult to fit in. If ever you did want some sort of window into how the old show was, that first episode is good, but there also is the Five Doctors special. It’s not the best episode by any means, but it was a fun special, it works as a one off, and it features five different doctors, even if the first had to be played by a new actor by that point. It would give a bit of a wider idea of where things came from, especially the different versions of the doctor. As far as this episode goes, it’s a lot of fun, and I know a lot of people really love it. Personally I enjoy it a lot, but I enjoy it as a standalone little adventure, so I understand how kind of small it feels ultimately compared to the possibilities and ideas presented. Curious on how y’all will feel about the next story, as it’s one that tends to not be as liked, but it’s also one that personally I’ve gone back and forth on each time I rewatch it. Sometimes you two enjoy the ideas of an episode enough to enjoy the episode itself even if it’s a bit rougher around the edges, so that might be the case, we shall see.

One of my favorite Doctor Who episodes ever! Personally speaking, I think only Matt Smith could have played this episode. Not even my fave Doctor, Peter Capaldi, could have done this one.

I would say either my fav or second fav episode of this season (if we aren’t including the Christmas special) 👌 The Tardis is the longest running companion of the Doctor, Amy says this at the end of the episode “even after we are all gone it’ll always be you and her, the madman and his box” they’ve been together (in universe canon) for at minimum 700+ years and at max 1000+ years (hard to tell for sure as the doctors age fluctuates so much/he lies about it a lot) at this point (I remember seeing somewhere the first doctor was roughly 200 when he stole the Tardis from gallifrey with Susan))and in terms of the show 48 years as of this episode airing so they have a huge connection even if not explicitly stated all the time, but it’s usually in the dialogue and how he talks to her and like she said “this is the time we talked” she can’t do that again this is a one off because as she said “you know I can’t, I’m not designed with those capabilities” which is why it’s all the more emotional when she has to go back into the Tardis Matrix. One of my fav acting choices from Smith as the Doctor is in that scene, when he swallows his emotions and wipes the tears, he knows he can’t do anything else so he just has to get on with everything. I definitely think you might get more from this episode on a rewatch Greg as you will have the plot details down and be able to kinda soak up the emotions more (there’s a few episodes where this has been the case for me even in prior seasons and some of the episodes I hated I now rather like and others I thought were just okay I adore now) . So if ever there was an episode I would suggest a rewatch of at some point then this would be it (doesn’t have to be for ages etc but I reckon it would be worth it)

This Is one of my favorite episodes of the whole show, but I like hearing your take on it and respect your opinion, its interesting hearing from someone who didn't love it.

Going on the conversation at the end: As someone who was against the casting of Jodie as I always saw the Dr as a male character, I dont blame the decline of quality from her era on her. It is mostly the writing that has made the show go downhill these past two seasons.

This episode is 10/10. The End.

You're editor skipped the Fear me line... weak.

I feel like the biggest problem that these guys are having with this show, is that they don't seem to get any sleep before they watch these episodes.
