JK Simmons is the voice of Tenzin and he is great in this show

Avatars actually have a more trouble mastering the element opposite to personality rather than the place they were born. Korra is very hot-headed (get it?) so fire came naturally for her, and you've already seen she's not calm and spiritual like Aang was so air is harder for her.

Lorenzo Baxter

But she is more hard-headed, which is why Air is difficult for her. Fire and air don't conflict with each other. Earth does. Her personality is literally like the polar opposite of calm lol

Thanks for checking out the intro. It's unique every episode and I love the dudes voice it's so like the old timely news reels. Of course you don't have to check it out every time but I think it's a pretty smart and funny replacement other than just playing clips.

You really hit all the points in the post discussion. This is why I said you can't really compare the Last Airbender to Korra. The tone of each show follows the personality of its main character. I love it.

Chase Gardner

Woohoo!! Tenzin is my favorite teacher for Korra but second favorite character in legend of Korra.

I always appreciated the thematic symmetry of having Aang's initial strength be Korra's weakness and vice-versa. It's cool getting to see how a different personality and upbringing can drastically change the nature of the Avatar's struggles.

If you’re still curious about the voice, J K Simmons voices Tenzin

Honestly Avatar had better character development and story progression. And I find Korra to be annoying, naive and ignorant. She doesn't change or develop much throughout the series. Only til season 3/4 but still.... Avatar was a very layered and deep series. It had a lot of social commentary on authoritarianism, imperialism, nationalism, colonialism and many more. It was deep. Korra isn't really deep. Too much of the typical but more annoying teenage character in a high position. The only season that was actually pretty good is season 3 of Korra other than that, she's so dislikable. Though I do admit the animation style is upgraded in this series but something about Avatar animation style is classic. It's a perfect culmination of two cultures; American and Asian. Just because an animation made by an American doesn't mean it's a bad thing. Invincible for instance is written and created by an American but the main character is half Asian. I get that Japanese are the best when it comes to anime but a few American ones are good too.

In Avatar, the Fire Nation represents imperial Japan, the Earth Kingdom represents Communist China, the Northern and Southern Water Tribes represent indigenous people and the Air Nomads represent the Buddhist monks and those of Tibetan heritage. The Fire Nation invading the other states is a nod to Japan invading multiple Asian countries during the early 1900s, including China, Korea, the Philippines, and Vietnam.

you clearly haven't viewed this show very analytically. It has many social commentaries built throughout the series. I swear people just try and find any way to shit on this show
