For anyone who has not watched either season 1 or 2 of Agent Carter, I am attaching a link to recaps of both seasons. I would suggest watching them because there is a canon connection with the AOS season 7 that will be a head-scratcher to anyone who is not familiar with Agent Carter. First i agree with Robert comment about you checking out those links if you have not watched Agent carter. Now onto the episode. You asked about fans views on izel as a villain and for me she passable as a comicbook type villain but weaker than the normal AOS villains (who have had more depth.) The disadvantages of 13 episodes also creates a problem for villains in season 6 and 7 as there is not enough screentime to give them the proper development we were used to for season 1-5. But they do find a solution to this by making clark into sarge and playing that role. Now flint question. Last episode Izel said humans using the creation monolith usually only create what they fear. Since mack and yoyo could only think about what izel was going to do with monoliths repaired it manifested as flint because of what they know he can do. Think of wanda and how she created vision out of her emotional state. It is spontaneous generation. He is "real" just created from their minds but unlike with wanda it is permanent unless he is killed. Shang chi also had a his father getting fooled by a demon who spoke as his wife remember. So mack line hits harder after watching that movie as well. May finally expressed her emotions unfiltered and gets stabbed in the stomach for it. Also look around 27:05 for the single frame in 6x11.

Also season 6 and 7 were written very close together so think of it like a 26 episode season instead of two seperate seasons because this finale is very important to season 7 and its plot. You may have questions but all i can say in trust the writers will answer them

Izel brought a cool aesthetic for a world-ending villain. She didn't have the most depth due to the shorter season, but I felt that most of the depth and mystery went to a possible evil version of Coulson aka Sarge. I like that they called her army zombies and had a reference to Resident Evil. Izel actually reminds me a lot of Queen Leech, the main villain of Resident Evil 0. The operatic singing and the cool robe are something that both have. They use creatures, the leeches and the bats, to possess and turn their victims into zombies.

I remember liking Izel enough when the show aired. This was definitely one of my favorite episodes of the season.
