I’m in the middle of your intro for this one and I just wanted to tell you that I’m so glad you’re enjoying this show so much. Psych holds a special place in my heart, and to see you enjoy it so thoroughly makes me happy. As always, I’m excited to watch along with you!

So in the end there when Lassie was talking to Buzz, he was trying to play it cool like what just went down didn’t affect him. As he went down the steps, I took that as he was starting to well up with emotion and he was trying to just shake it off. And then in the true ending, Lassie finds out about Shawn and Jules! Finally!! I really love how they did that, no goofy Shawn getting uncomfortable and saying the wrong thing, he’s just the sweet, caring Shawn that Jules needs. This episode is so so good, I love when they switch up the tone of the show. So glad you enjoyed it!

I'm always amazed of some of the uniqueness this show has, like we have many other shows that have recurring storylines that go into hibernation and surfaces back up in later seasons, but non of them feel like the way Psych does, because having them as seasons finales always feel more grandios like a big event episode! I might be wrong, but I can't think of another show that has similar storyline struccture like this Yang story. I'm also glad to see Peter Weller again, because I just finished 3,4 weeks ago, rewatching Sons of Anarchy, where Peter Weller plays the dirty cop Borowski, and the similarities between this two characters and scenes are very interesting watching them both in short span of time. Another personal story: at this point in the show is where I catched up irl, I said in previous comments how I discovered Psych by accident flipping channels around 2009-10-ish, and I watched them all and then followed the gruesome seasons break and when the promos for S6 came out and had some narly stingers I was like "are we there yet!?". S6 is such a fun season! And we're gonna start strong with another fun and little intense premiere, followed by an absolute fan favorite (and my personal favorite ever) in 6x2! That's in TWO WEEKS! 🍍Yeah, you almost got it, it was a usual suspect, i.e. Henry's kitchen, when he first talked to Madeline there was an ornament behind Henry, and also in Yang's grocery bag from the first scene you can BAREILLY spot it (if you go frame by frame.😂 Clue: CHiPs was a very accurate procedural show, I've heard. Trivia: One of the lines Yin said here to S&G "no use crying over spilled soda." when referring to Yang, that's the same line he used in a clue from previous season when referring to Shawn knocking Yin's soda drink in the cinema from the first scene. Also Allison Cowley is the real life name of Timothy Omundson's wife!

I think a lot of people forgot or didn't realise that Jules and Shawn were still hiding their relationship from everyone (including Lassiter) at the station,. They talked about hiding it in the first or second episode after they got together but not really since then. Season 6 has some of the best episodes of the series. The second one is probably my favourite of the series. And as an added bonus we get a lot more Woody from now on. He's in about half of them. And so many great guest stars. 🍍🍍🍍

As someone who is a massive addict of learning about true crime and the psychology of criminals/serial killers, this episode always scratches that itch at the back of my brain. After I watched it for the first time, it had me thinking about the psychology of Yin/Yang shown over all three of their episodes for days!! Regarding Lassie: I saw him pausing on the stairs as him feeling the weight/trauma of the recent days creeping through the cracks of his inner walls and then trying to shake those feelings off. I like that they added that - it humanizes him more and shows that even Lassie is a person who can be affected by trauma. In the last scene, Lassie was going to get his mug and happened upon Shawn and Juliet kissing, revealing their relationship to Lassie. Hahaha he was definitely shocked and didn’t know how to process it haha This episode proves, once again, that when Psych does “serious” they do it phenomenally. The higher-stakes episodes tend to strip the cast/characters of the surface level stuff and really allow us to see, when it comes down to it, just how much they care for each other. SO GOOD! Roday really gave us another great episode!! Now on to Season 6!!

The Yin/Yang saga are easily some of the best Psych episodes. They did the intensity here so well and it builds wonderfully on top of the previous Yin/Yang episodes. And I like that they took time with Juliet and follow up to the previous finale when they could have so easily swept it under the rug after they briefly brought it up in the first episode this season. I think Lassie stalling on the stairs as the weight of everything hitting him now that Buzz has directly called him on it. He's definitely the kind of person to just compartmentalize and bury it, but it obviously still affects him no matter how much he might pretend otherwise. His "wtf" at the end in regards to Juliet in Shawn always gets me haha. I'm sad we're creeping closer to the end but can't wait to watch the rest!
