I KNEW IT WOULD HAPPEN! 🤣 I knew you would grow to love Zaheer like the rest lol 😆 I'm happy the season is hitting into high gear and you're here for it. Also, in the Last Airbender, we've seen Airbending be lethal before. When Aang found his old teacher, Monk Gyatso, was surrounded by dead firebenders in the third episode of the show. It's implied Gyatso used his Airbending to kill the firebenders and possibly himself as a last stand. So the suffocating move Zaheer used on the Earth Queen may have been around, just not talked about because Airbending has always been a peaceful, non violent thing. I actually loved the Korra and Asami side story. It shows Asami and her skill, but also Korra kind of finally not just fighting first, like she was playing the peacekeeper side of being the Avatar, if only a little. And yes, that was the first On Screen MURDER in the Avatar Universe. The Queen is dead, which is also hinted at in the title of the episode, "Long Live the Queen." When a ruler dies, they generally say the phrase, "The King is dead! Long Live the King!" Symbolizing that the past is gone and the future ruler is ahead. Probably one of my favorite moments just cause of how ballsy they were to show a murder on screen to adolescent kids 😅 like goddamn. The last three episodes are heavy hitters so be ready guys! See you next week!
