The scene where Ahsoka was training with the clones in this, where Anakin at 7:00 on (Disney+) mentions to Ahsoka 'This is about life and death', is a call back to Episode 1 of this series called 'Life & Death'. But it's also a part of the journey of Ahsoka's training, after failing so much with the clones she finally has her victory, in the Clone Wars episode 'Victory & Death'. Could be why they went back to that scene. Just my interpretation.

The connection at the end is a reference to when Ahsoka has to fight against all the clones in a circle when order 66 first hits off, before jumping into the vent

Ah gotcha! She did some of the same moves that she ultimately does while escaping the clones. But I think it was really just showing that he prepared her for the exact scenario that his actions lead to. Even if order 66 wasn’t his plan, him joining Palps was the final step of the plan.
