No tears.... outrageous! In all seriousness, thank you for putting out great content and still having time to react to all the shows. The Bakugou apology hit pretty hard for me, it was a long time coming and the swelling of the music was a really nice touch. Enjoyed the fun-post reaction stuff too

2023-04-02 09:58:28 I haven’t been able to comment in SO long because I was behind on your reactions but I’ve finally gotten caught up and I’m so glad that it’s for this one! It’s really nice to have this episode as a culmination of how much Midoryia has impacted everyone around him and how many friendships he’s made. It’s especially heartwarming since he started the series as someone who didn’t really have anything but his dream to be a hero and didn’t really have any friends. But now that he’s having such a hard time trying to make his dream of saving people come true he has all his friends to support him through it. Your comment about Iida getting pushed aside over the series is totally true but it’s great to see him have a moment here because he was one of Midoriya’s first friends at UA. And with Midoryia helping him with Stain and Iida not feeling like a hero after that, Iida finally gets to feel like a hero again when helping his friend. Also, don’t worry, Uraraka’s moment is coming! I completely get why you would think that Shoto would say something about his fight with Midoryia from the sports festival. His comment here about whether Midoryia’s able to cry now is so subtle but it references back to the Overhaul arc when Midoryia was upset about not being able to save Eri at first and wasn’t able to talk to his friends about the plans to save her. Shoto notices he’s upset and tells him that it’s okay for heroes to cry when they need to. Obviously Bakugou’s apology is the biggest moment of this episode and it’s been such a long time coming that it feels very cathartic. The way they visualized it with them at various stages of growing up was really cool and it really couldn’t have been anyone else to make Midoryia come to his senses other than Bakugou who’s been at his side every step of the way. It’s such a full circle moment for Bakugou to reach this point after slowly growing as a person throughout the series. He’s probably wanted to talk to Midoryia since he woke up in the hospital after the fight with Shigaraki but Midoriya left first. His wording here about Midoryia making the right choices and wanting to help Midoryia save people by handling the things he can’t is so important. Midoryia said he’s always seen Bakugou as his image of victory and how Bakugou’s saying that he sees Midoriya as the person who can save everyone, finally letting Midoryia take the centre stage and stepping into the role to support him, without protest, so that they can all win this together. Although I wish the Rogue Deku arc lasted longer since it’s one of the most interesting arcs in my opinion this is a great conclusion. I’m so glad you’ve both had such a good time with the second half of this season and all the darker undertones for the corruption of society that they’ve been building up to. Sorry for my essay of a comment! You probably haven’t missed those the last few weeks. As always great reaction! Glad to finally be caught up with them again (even if we’re almost at the end of the season haha)
