Good afternoon John! This movie couldn't be made now and could've only been brilliant when it was produced. That's the beauty of it. Nick Cage is so bizarre and to counter that with Travolta is a good dichotomy. He is kind of like the best unnatural actor that isn't D list status. Cage is truly different. It wouldn't work now I think (if it was made now) because the audience has changed. These kids now act like they'd get it but they wouldn't truly understand its real message here. Though they'd probably argue contrary to this. Until you know what someone's life is really like you have no idea. OK take it easy dude! Laters!💙🙃

To me, this is one of the BEST action films of all time. Just so much packed into this. For the time period Woo did an amazing job. Now it's all green screens etc.
