Important Update iOS Subscription Signup (Patreon)

Hello Patrons!

Patreon notified me today that: 'Apple is requiring that Patreon use their in-app purchasing system and remove all other billing systems from the Patreon iOS app by November 2024. This means that starting in November, new memberships purchased in the iOS app will be subject to Apple's 30% App Store fee.'

This means that any new subscribers who subscribe via an Apple device will be charged a 30% increase on top of the price of the selected tier. This is all coming from Apple, not me or Patreon. So if you’re planning to subscribe, I would encourage you to do so on a device other than Apple iOS.

I’m sure I’m not the only creator you’re hearing this from today, so sorry if you’re seeing this a lot. But the good news is there’s plenty of time to plan ahead and again, this only affects those who are newly subscribing from an Apple device.
