There are many others that fit that bill for sure, but GC and BMB are included. King Kong is massssive and the MV feels like a much bigger sequel to Jikjin! I like the song and the video, but there is something i'm a bit worried about. It's about Hyunsuk, I have nothing agianst him (he is actually one of my favourites in the group). But the thing is that I feel like he doesn't really have his own personality. He grew up watching G-Dragon, Mino and Bobby and I feel like he took parts of those guys to shape his image. So, if i'm honest, I feel like I'm waching Hyunsuk imitating one of them (don't take this in a bad way). I would like to see him owning something that showcases himself more.

I completely agree but I would not say I'm worried because he's still young. I think a Hyunsuk solo is where he would truly find himself. And with that in mind, there's noooothing wrong at all about being GD coded. That's a unique flare no one could pull off EXCEPT GD.

I think a solo is indeed what he needs. I mean the guys debut almost had been canceled 2 times (if you didn’t know, he made it to MIXNINE’s debut lineup. I’m still a bit mad about him pulling the plug on that), I think YG should give him a present once. And yeah, nothing is wrong with being coded that way. But he should be careful of the fact that people don’t see him as “the impersonater” but as Choi Hyunsuk. An example of how he could do that is how Sunwoo of the boyz made a style his own despite being a major BOBBY fanboy. I still think he’s doing great as a leader and rapper/dancer of the group though.

That MIXNINE lineup was insane though: ONF’s Hyojin and Laun, A.C.E’s Byeongkwang and Donghun, Woo Jinyoung, Treasure’s Hyunsuk, CIX’s BX, former 1TEAM’s Rubin and OMEGA X’s Hangyeom.

I hear what you are saying and I think with sunwoo a big factor is that he didn’t train under YG whereas hyunsuk has so inevitably those comparisons and similarities are going to be there simply because he probably had the same mentors and trainers. I feel like even going back to Who Is Next they wanted someone who could be the next GD and Bigbang. I’m excited to see how he will evolve into more of his own style though!

Treasure offers more not just a new gen type song but old gen song. KING KONG is like a combine of Old & New Kpop Sound. I don't know how they made it work but they did. I think Treasure is very underrated. It's like everyone is sleeping on them just bcoz of the hate that others threw on them. Bias aside TREASURE is One of the Best in the New Generation of Kpop. They are TOP TIER. I hope people could open their eyes and see it.

hi pd! if u want to watch a live performance of king kong they went to inkigayo k-wave last sunday! they performed king kong & run. they also went to mcountdown as well for their first cb stage. u might also want to check out their first it's live performance (finally!!) for king kong. plus there is also an upcoming dance performance vid.
