I absolutely hated the chimera ant ark and thought it was dragged out for too long. And ngl but some of the characters introduced then weren’t important to me so I wanted to skip those parts but I ended up watching through it all. Just fyi it gets really dark, so be prepared mentally. I’ll rewatch it again just because it’s you PD who is reacting to it

I'm not sure if you remember but he went to Chrollo Lucilfer which was Hisoka playing the game under his name. Also, I know a lot of people have mixed feelings about the Chimera Ant arc and I do admit that it is very long and draining, but you also get so much in return. There is so much character development, changes, and intense moments in the story that you cannot miss!
