A while ago I saw a Vine-like video saying the anime adaptation skipped in the very beginning an important part of Gon meeting Kite. We got a flashback of it here, but still it does not provide the proper explanation why Gon liked Kite a lot/why he had such a strong bond towards him. So… although I don’t know much of what is going to happen, I knew Gon will go after Neferpitou and he will get crazy mad. Therefore since Kite appeared in this arc, I saw the references in the intro, then Neferpitou got introduced, I started to put things together and wow… I cannot wait to see Gon go full-on early Eren Yeager 😅😅 Also… What I love about this show is the aspect of Killua being an over powered assassin, who enjoys doing side-quests with his simple/childish friend Gon. But here things have started to get bloody serious and somehow side-quests are not side-quests anymore. Like… considering Neferpitou is only the first one and the King will be the strongest one???? What the fuck?? I remember Blaire saying the training montage with Biscuit was the last one in the show, but I guess we will have to get another here? Like… there is no way they are facing those Chimeras like this… I have mentioned this lately a lot, but as psychotic as it may sound, I do like this arc! It is still hard to compare with the Phantom Troupe arc, because of the iconic ending and in general it felt way more like all main characters were involved rather than only Gon and Killua, but I can say this arc is up there to rival the Phantom Troupe one.

hoooo boy THIS one! yeah this ep really gives you the sinking feeling in your gut no matter what. AND THE INTRODUCTION TO MY FAV CHARACTER MOREL!! (who i didn't like at first since he was kind of a dick to Killua, lmao) and yeah this arc is such a slow burn, which isn't for everyone, but i think it's very intentional- this ordeal goes on for so long and it weighs on everyone involved

This is it... I don't dislike any HxH season but this hits hard. Also noone mentioned Killua feeling sooooo down, like never before, finding "light" in Gon 😢
