FYI, Yeonjun is 1 of the MC for this event. His performance is actually recorded 2 days before the actual show in front of 1000 moas. During the actual show, he actually go on the stage dance to Ggum with his dancers while everyone else who is watching the streaming watch the recording. Here is the fancam of him and the dancers on the live stage on the day of event. I share 2 fancam due to camera angle. My personal favorite performance was ateez's performance. The short intro at the beginning was very sweet. The dance break that came after the first chorus of the song was also very good. And it was one of the most live performances, most places didn't even have a backing track or it was very low. Unfortunately, they could only sing 1 song. Mingi said to their fans who said why didn't you sing different songs on the live broadcast, we can't choose the time allotted to us, it's very sad, I wish they could sing other songs. my other favs were 2ne1 , gdragon , stray kids, new jeans and of course iroha siren. actually all artist was so good..

Like I said in the other part, ILLIT should do more girl crush concepts, but I feel like they go with what fits Wonhee the best and what is trendy. Wonhee wasn't ready to debut back on R U Next, even fans can admit that, she is way better now, but I feel like if they taught her some more intense dancing styles, they can do amazing things as a group.

The SBS directors actually asked Yujin to think of a collab stage and Karina came to mind. Funnily enough Karina was wanting to do a collab stage with her too(not specifically SBS) so when they found out after talking it was like perfect timing

PD, what did I tell you about Gunwook and Jiwoong? I could have seen Gyuvin on this as well indeed but he is more boney (no offense to gyuvin) than muscle. By the way, I NEED THIS AS A COMEBACK RIGHT NOW (Crush came close but i need a Boomerang of Wanna One, a Flash of X1, a WMDA of INI, a Tiger of JO1, just something that fits these guys like Hot Summer did, like Love Killa did, ...) I am desperate for a comeback like this. I also feel like all of them want this too, I mean Hanbin is a hardhitting dancer, Gunwook did this on multiple survival shows, Jiwoong is sexy and powerfull all over his body, Gyuvin and Yujin were the best on Reveal and that bubble song in their audition, Ricky is definitely shining more on their darker songs, Matthew wants to be Seok Woohyun oppa, Hao can do anyting from darker to brighter concepts (but chose kick it, tomboy and over me only for him to show jelly pop in the final) and Taerae chose Hot Summer over Jelly Pop. To me that screams that they need to do darker/more intense stuff as well.

I love the txt performances, but for me soobin brings such a unique presence to their stages that can't be replaced if that makes sense. I absolutely loved their doll/nutcracker dance at the beginning tho

(long post sorry, reacting with you PD hehe) omgggg yesss PD, i love Brought the Heat Back as well! its my fav from this year, EVEN THOUGH this year had been wild and there were SO MANY GOOD SONGS from ENHYPEN AAAA i really really really like this performance of theirs, because they felt super relaxed and comfortable on stage, having fun, but also extremely professional and hard hitting when needed! what surprised me the most is that each member stood out to me here! i was like "SUNOO OMG cute but seductive? JUNGWOON fierce and passionate? OK FUN TIMES SMIRK JAKE? SUNGHOON having fun on stage, which we don't see that often cause he has a cool prince vibe going? HESSUNG OMG THE CHILL POWER? NIKI GODDAMN THE FLIP? JAY THE SWAG AND THE HIGH NOTE??" they just cant give me a break huh... yes, please, continue to do so ehe lol its a wild opinion ik, but Mr Vampire is my FAV ITZY song, so hearing this remix was like ascending into heaven fro me ngl!!!! I NEED IT SO BAD AAAAAA ATEEZ went so freaking hard with the concept and the intro and the performance that I cant even. I want to clarify tho that ofc sexy concepts are not new and etc, BUT I always like sexy concepts on those performers who genuinely enjoy them and are not forced into them, and you can literally SEE how INTO Key is here, how its his domain and he is having SO MUCH FUN with it aaa! oooops i got way to excited with Key and hit enter by accident lol! editing the post TXT's performances were so magical in these year ends' performances, I simply love the intro with puppet like dances, Huening as a snowglobe prince, Taehyun the magic man and can I say that I sense a new surge of flirty vibe Taehyun is brining into their performances recently??? idk if its something he has been working on recently or he just felt like it, but he looks so cute and coquettish in these year end's performances and im living for it, he is adorable! in any case, really liked this performance despite Soobin being absent – the other members were just the right way soft and magical balancing with sharp and powerful, it was such a contrasting feeling that I got from their performance and I loved it! the MONSTA X cover was freaking immaculate, left me speechless! god, stray kids slayed again!! i think the reason the buzzcut works so well is cause Hyunjin is super charismatic with his facial expressions, especially with his gaze, so removing hair from his face (i mean loose strands and etc) actually made his charisma come through even sharper and more powerful... but ok also because he is a hottie, lets be real ahahahahaha also love this remix of walking on water!! i actually even like it better than og ahaha omg PD.... idk if I have already mentioned it, but i got lucky to go to NCT DREAM's concert and I get you so well lol Chenle was freaking kILLING IT with his live vocals, it was insane, it was also the time when Renjun was unfortunately not being able to perform, so Chenle was responsible for his parts as well and goddamn....... i was swayed before in my bias preferences but after that concert i was like "yeah its Chenle, sorry guys, he is just too good lol"

For TXT I think the part you are missing about the cards is magic. You had Beomgyu with the magic wand and then it turns to Taehyun performing magic with cards. I love how every year they constantly give us magical Christmas performances at SBS. I felt a lot of groups forgot it was a Christmas show with a Christmas theme but I can always count on TXT to give us a magical themed performance.

I was hoping you weren't spoiled about 2NE1 performing. What a stage! And really such a flex by IVE to perform a medley - and all the songs hits! It feels like they just debuted yesterday, but shockingly it’s already been a while. (They were just talking about this on IU‘s Palette today)

I think I was looking forward to the Iroha dance cover reaction the most. Her cover and Le Sserafim are my highlights from this show. Iroha is insanely talented, and to think she is only 16 now and is only going to keep getting better. She's definitely one to look out for.

Oh Aespa and the Karina x Yujin performance were also my standout performances, I forgot that was also Inkigayo. So yeh, Iroha, Karina and An Yujin are my MVPs from this award season. Love PD's reaction to that Killer performance... the "what did we do?" Lol. I definitely get it though.

1:19:20 Regarding GunWook… I am actually not sure what future he may have, because as far as I know Jellyfish Ent. debuted EVNNE as their pernament group and I am not sure whether they will debut a new boy group so soon and ar the same time I doubt they will add him to the group. So… hmm… debuting him as a soloist both under Jellyfish or elsewhere sounds… I can rather imagine (and I also kind of prefer this in general) him debuting as a soloist after he debuts again with his pernament group. And besides that I am not sure if he has the amount of popularity to make labels interested in debuting him as a soloist after ZB1. I am no expert on ZB1, but I am comparing it to acts like ChungHa and Somi and even with Somi it was not that clear if it was correct to debut her as a soloist right after I.O.I… Which leads me to a solution I may have for him. Going the “Somi way” and joining another company after ZB1 and now the question is where should he go? Well… one option is joining forced with Koki (both under P Nation and elsewhere) and making a group called: Wise Therapy. But… I guess there are really low chances of this happening 😅😅 (but that would be fucking lit… and the hype we would both have here!! 😅😅) The other option is pretty much any proper label reaching to him that they are forming a group. But as I said before… I don’t like those kind of groups like: “Let’s take a popular member and add to them quickly trained trainees” So I would rather prefer him to join a pre-debut line up, which started to be formed regardless of him. And well… besides YG Ent.’s “Next Monster” (most likely being the Japanese girl group Yang Hyun Suk mentioned during Baemon final line up announcement, where he said he wanted to keep Asa for that group), YG Ent. is preparing a boy group too. I mean… technically after any debut labels start to preparing the next one, but in this case a group of male trainees leaving YG building together has been seen many times… GunWook joining that line up would be truly cool! (Ehm… at this point and at this situation P Nation is in with TNX, I would not mind Koki changing to YG either… ehm… 🤞🏾🤞🏾)

The thing with Sober (맨정신) or actually the whole stage after Power was one big reference and giant throwback to his MAMA 2013 stage. He used there the part of back then yet to be released Sober as an intro before Crooked and then he laid down on the floor and Fantastic Baby started and the rest of BIGBANG started to join him. I know that 2013 MAMA performance by heart, because that specific performance was the reason I stayed interested in Kpop, not just BIGBANG or other groups like 2NE1 and Super Junior, but specifically that whole BIGBANG performance. Sure… I was introduced to Kpop through Super Junior and then I came back to Kpop later on thanks to knowing them, which led to a friend of mine introducing me to the rest of Kpop, but just because something is introduced to you does not mean you will stay in that rabbit hole. But that performance made me locked in and that is the root of me being interested in Kpop to the level I am. I vividly remember hearing Sober for the first time and when this part came in I was like: “WTF?? That… that… that is the thing from 2013!” and that is the reason Sober is my favorite BIGBANG song (besides Still Life) + DaeSung playing the drums for the live performances (drums being my favorite instrument). So when the Sober part ended here I shouted what he shouted back then: “Hey Hong Kong! Are you ready??” and it perfectly fits into the small break before Crooked starts here. I think he did it intentionally, because… this whole comeback is like… NOSTALGIA and: “The shit is real! It is actually happening!!”

Regarding 2NE1 comeback… because of their 15th anniversary last year they agreed with YG to officially reunite and have a tour, which has been happening until now (and I FUCKING HOPE FOR EUROPE STOPS!!), but nothing has been officially mentioned about their new releases. Compilation album for the Japanese market was released by the end of 2024 and for the Korean market different one is about to be release too. But as for now that is pretty much it. Based on hints from the members during concerts, there is a possibility of them releasing something new, but it is only up in the air. Regarding I Don’t Care! It was released on their debut mini album with Fire, but Fire was released digitally prior to the release. I guess these days it would be called a pre-release, but back then it was their debut just released digitally at first, so that is why it feels to you like those two songs were not released on the same album. Plus Lollipop prior to both of that… their debut was hyped up a lot and I remember checking statistics for the most unique listeners of Korea of their all songs and I Don’t Care might have had the most unique listeners (like even until now it might have more than I Am The Best) if I remember correct, because as you are saying it was so huge and although I Am The Best might be the most replayed one, I Don’t Care possibly has the most unique listeners.

I mentioned this before that Walk by 127 should have been released as a repackage album to their Fact Check album, so it would have been promoted WAY BETTER and would have gotten TaeYong and other 127 members (except WinWin I guess) to have fun with this song more. Considering DoYoung enlisting this year, 127 will be now formed of 5 members and because of that Walk might be their last “big comeback” (they will be releasing a remake of Hyun Jin Young’s In Vague Memory and yes, HaeChan is doing the opening singing there!), so it would have been nice if Walk got big and proper promotion… Also… you not knowing immediately Yuta was the screaming one shows that you did not pay enough attention to the solo album he released 😉🫵🏽

I thought Evnne was also temporary. They’ve been a bit unclear about their contract. I wish the other Boys Planet Jellyfish boys stayed for a bit longer because I would have loved for them to debut with Gunwook but I’m glad they’ve all found success elsewhere

Le Sserafim performs 1-800-Hot-N-Fun at AAA. They do Pierrot at GDA. If you like 1-800-Hot-N-Fun watch the VMAs prerecorded red carpet performance (if you haven't already) with Crazy OR the prerecorded Stephen Colbert one (which is basically like a performance MV). Also, I know you've watched the fancams of Coachella Week 1 and 2 but I definitely recommend the Stagecam versions (not fancams because you lose a lot compared to stagecams).

@feli At first I thought that after ZB1 ended their contract, Gunwook would join the group with the other three trainees from Jellyfish who joined Boys Planet. I thought that during that time, the three trainees would practice with the other trainees from Jellyfish who might form a group together in the future. But after I saw them leaving the company one by one, I thought that Jellyfish didn't have any plans to form a boy group yetㅜㅜ so they didn't wait for the uncertain future and chose to leave the company instead. I really love the relationship between Gunwook and them😭

Park Hanbin initially said on a radio show (I think) at debut that the contract was only for 1.5 years, which shocked and dismayed a lot of fans. But since then they have said nothing about it, and they just opened a new fan club membership for this year, so who knows?
