Inktober is coming (Patreon)

What’s up, guys?

It’s been so long since I wrote a post here. And for not taking your time anymore, I’m going straight to the point: Inktober is coming and I’m going to participate this year. So, I'm probably not going to work anything related to Patreon because I will be focusing only on the Inktober challenge, but I will post each art every day during the month of October.

For those of you who don’t know this, Inktober is an online challenge for artists of any level and around the world, where during the month of October you have to make one drawing or illustration made in inks every day, whether is created traditional or digital way, and you have to post the art in your social media, like Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, or your own website or blog. This challenge started in 2009 and it is created by an awesome artist called Jake Parker. There are no rewards or prizes in this challenge… well, only one: that everyone will see your arts and make more followers, fans, and friends. You can check out more in the Inktober official website, or hit the hashtag #intober on Twitter or Instagram, and you’ll find a lot of inspirational material about this challenge.

This is not the first time I do this. I participated in two occasions: in 2015 and 2018. And this year, I will do this in a different way: Instead of taking the prompt list from the official website, I will take the prompt list of ZombiExquisito. And, again, for those who don’t know, ZombiExquisito is a group of illustrators for illustrators to promote the artistic talent in Venezuela and around the world, and the theme that talks and shows about is horror of any talent (arts. movies, music, anything) from the classics to the new trends of today. They are going to participate in the Inktober challenge, and, instead of using the official list, they made their own prompt list. And the theme for this year is Villains. A good theme for this since October is the season of Halloween.

It's going to be a lot of fun because in the list they appeared villains from cartoons, movies and shows like Skeletor, Mojo Jojo, Malefica and Darth Vader. And since I got new tools for inking, this is a great opportunity to try them out.
