Revisiting a Shelved Project. (Patreon)

Howdy (pun intended), folks!
The muses have been hitting me lately: most in regard to Walter and Bunny, but another one for my 2020 script of Red Dead Reveleation.
Sometime during the pandemic, I got the bug to produce another movie-length script (much like I did for BioShock), but this time for Red Dead Redemption — yet another beloved game of mine. Being related to an old west outlaw as well also seemed like a cool reason to write it.
Anyway, the story of Revelation takes us to the events only days before the beginning of Red Dead Redemption II, including the infamous Blackwater Massacre: an event that would send the Dutch Van Der Linde gang into a downward spiral. In this story, the gang we all know and love has just robbed a small town bank just west of New Austin, before gaining some intel about a ferry boat moving large sums of money into the port of of an up-and-coming town called Blackwater. After much debate, the gang trudges eastward to set up camp and carry out a few robberies until the day of the massacre. Multiple narratives are told through this script, including those from the characters we never met from the gang (like Mac, Davey, & Jenny).
In the backdrop, this entire story is being narrated by a mysterious man named Buck, in present-day 1970-something (hence, his Dodge Challenger in the cover art).
The Problem: I was hit with a blow, however, when casting for this project, because searching for decent impersonators for characters like Arthur, Dutch, etc. was met with dud after dud. I had an open call out for months before throwing in the towel because it was blatantly obvious the voices from these games are almost too unique. Red Dead Revelation was put on the back burner.
Not giving up on it, I screenshoted a few talented impersonators I’ve heard scattered across the internet, just in case I wanted to reach out to them and compile a cast. Just today, I made some tweaks to my four-year script long buried in my drive, and am ready to make another attempt at making this happen again.
That’s the full story! Wish me luck, because I think this drama could truly be a treat for Red Dead and non Red Dead fans alike.
