OMG!!!!! This ending was so bittersweet! The fact that Youdam gave up his memories in order to save Dongbaek is a sign of true love. His suffering and guilt are all gone and Dongbaek only really remembering their meetings after his reincarnation puts them in a place to love without guilt and sadness. I actually really love the way they ended the series.

I died when you said, " A side of fish lips"! lol. I could not stop laughing. I really loved the ending to this series! I was so upset at first, though. Like, after he lost his memories I was worried they would just let it end like that because BL's like to leave us hanging sometimes. lol. I was happy they ended up going out to dinner. Such a perfect start to their new relationship.

This series was definitely better than I expected! It combines 2 fav genres - a supernatural story and an office romance. I wish I knew what was happening to Denis too, but I saw an explanation for something else on another reaction to this series. “A child with no name” apparently refers to someone who was born to a prostitute in the olden days in Korea. Usually the mom would leave the child with monks or shamans to be raised by the church/temple, etc. They were known as a “child of god” and not given a name so they could be reborn into a new life, with no connections to their current life. Everyone was mad at Youdam for naming Dongbaek because 1) it means Dongbaek was now connected to this life and wouldn’t get a fresh start when he reincarnated and 2) the reason Youdam named him was because he liked him (something that was not ok back then). It basically makes Youdam look selfish for naming Dongbaek and ruining his chance at a clean slate in his next life (whereas when I first watched the series I thought Youdam did something really nice by naming him and was totally confused what the problem was). This isn’t explained in the series because I assume Koreans already know what a “child with no name” or “child of god” refers to. I just wish the translators had added a little blurb when they first started referring to Dongbaek that way so international fans knew what they were talking about!
