STAR WARS tattoos are certainly popular amongst fans, but what about turtles? RFR V.I.P. Cris "Turtle Wars" Hagen is a tatted-up turtle expert who happens to be a hardcore Star Wars fan. Cris shares his Star Wars tattoos with us along with the stories behind them. Plus, we recap RFR's "May The Force Be With You" live event from Bristol, STAR WARS Celebration memories, and a "Sith" turtle that you'll never forget. Plus, we recap TALES OF THE EMPIRE and more!

Yes, Cris is back! Can’t wait to listen and we had a blast hanging with you in Bristol.

Bawstin Dan

It was so awesome to meet and hang with you Cris! Also, can confirm someone did yack in the trash. My wife took care of him. Gave him water and helped him back to his hotel room! We checked on him the next day and he was good. A little worse for wares but good!

Turtle Wars

I totally missed that and didn’t hear about it either. Thanks for the confirmation. It’s never fun taking care of someone that over indulged. But sometimes it’s hard not to when you’re having a great time with Star Wars people!

Turtle Tuesday!! 🎉🐢

Luke

Great show boys!

SLAYER!! 🤘🏼 Thanks for the informative Q&A! I have a similar FMJ shirt but with Vader’s helmet and “born to kill”! I appreciate your Princess Leia pose during your Dr. Aphra tattoo session at 2017 Celebration. Ryukyu black-breasted leaf turtles rule! Happiest of birthdays to you, Cris! May the force be with you…always. 🖤🐢🖤 🍻🍻🍻🍻🍻

Great show Cris!

What a great episode Cris! So great being able to have flashbacks to Bristol! Thank goodness for All-Access, as I will have to watch the video on this one and see how Q&A became Show and Tell. So much fun!

Peter Beisser

As we rolled into the hotel in Bristol, Cris was the first person we ran into a few weeks back. And what luck to get to grab an early drink with the most interesting RFR fan there is. Great Q&A, sir!

Turtle Wars

Wow, thanks Peter! I really enjoyed meeting and hanging with you and everyone else. It was a great crowd of Star Wars and RFR fans. I know there are many people I did not get to meet. It all went by so fast. And I’m terrible at remembering names on first introduction, especially when I’m meeting 50+ other people at the same time. Looking forward to the next get together.

Hey Cris, heard the latest Q&A, have you worked at Edisto Beach SC? I’ve vacationed there in the past, I know that was near Kiawah Island.

RobO from ChicagO

Would love to see your tats Turtle Cris, I don’t have video access. I’ve been working on a Star Wars sleeve slowly. And Jimmy a RFR event at Rancho ObiWan NEEDS to happen. It’s hard me to get off work unless far advance, but I’d make sure to attend an event there! You’re definitely the Johnny Drama of the RFR entourage.

Turtle Wars

Yep, been to Edisto many times. Never really worked there though except for an occasional outreach event. There is a serpentarium on Edisto with lots of different kinds of reptiles on display. Nice state park there too.

Turtle Wars

Let’s make that ROW event happen! And I’ll see you there. I’ve seen photos of some of your SW ink. Very nice!

Cris and Jim, great discussion! Bristol was a blast, you'll hear more about that next week :) A couple comments on Bristol: The lady in the pink dress at the bar had no idea what she walked into. She was super nice and was blown away by all us. Malort is a combination of prunes, turpentine and despair...The attempted fire pit lighting caused me to back up slightly from the pit. It all worked out but no fire... I love the cosplay at Celebration too Cris. I'm always on the lookout for something I've never seen and/or something really well done. We have Phoenix Fan Fusion over Memorial Day weekend and I'm sure I'll see some great cosplay again this year. I love redemption stories. A Christmas Carol is one of my favorite stories and I believe it's never too late for people to get redeemed until they pass. The Barris story wasn't bad but the turn back for her and the Sister happened in too short of a time period for me. It would've worked for me if in a longer format.

Eric from Phoenix

That is also a fair description. Glad I tried it but I don't feel the need try it a second time.

Brian “Ducky” Duckworth

That’s the one thing I’ve always missed visiting there. This was the first beach I ever saw baby turtles go to the ocean. They had help from the turtle folks so that was good. One amazing thing to witness!

Great show Chris and Jimmy!! Finally got around to it, it’s been great hearing the VIPs back in full swing after meeting you all in Bristol! Thanks for the great content!!
