Thanks for doing this show. I’ve been trying to get into the High Republic series. I’m a huge comic book nerd, however the comics don’t do much for me. (Most of the marvel Star Wars is not connecting with me.) A lot of what you guys were saying is how I feel, like there is to many characters and I’m not a fan of the author Daniel Jose Older. Honestly there’s only one character in the High Republic I’m interested in and its Avar Kriss. Again thanks so much for discussing this!

(Note: Possible spoilers on The Rising Storm in the second paragraph.) Thanks for this show--it's something that many of us needed! It both validated my thoughts about THR and helped me appreciate some of it more. My guess is that Yoda's big moments are being saved for later in the series. In terms of sales, the comics at least seem to be doing pretty well, with at least a few second printings. Maybe don't read this paragraph if you want to read the book...but with that said...I believe the Leveler is a creature. It seems to have some sort of natural ability to disrupt the Force (and therefore neutralize, harm, and even kill the Jedi). I have a feeling it could be the big "superweapon" in the series. I like the concept--it's reminiscent of Thrawn's ysalamiri that shielded him from the force in the EU--but it feels less like Star Wars to me and more like a Dungeons & Dragons monster, at least the way in which it's introduced.

Great job guys! I love Mathew’s discussion because I get the readers digest version of High Republic as I won’t ever read the material. Some good laughs too, buckets of blood. Lol

I have the utmost respect for Jimmy and all VIP q and a guests that have the guts to go live on RFR. :-) I'm glad I could hear some of the High Republic details in that way. I have just tried to distance myself from High Republic since the HR news' host Krystina Arrielle posted her hate speach on Twitter. The Wars has no place for that non-sense. Mandalorians and Jedis just need to consider each other's character! ❤ 🌟

I want to be friends with Matt! I'm a Masters student in Classical Studies and am following a similar career path. Also Matt since you're a big Manga fan have you ever read the manga series "Historie" by Hitoshi Iwaaki? It is my all time favourite manga about Alexander the Great's Secretary General, Eumenes. It's filled with so much historical minutia and passion for the subject I think you'd really dig it! Great episode fellas!!
