Have you ever wondered how an episode of RFR gets produced? Or wanted to hear some stories from our career as STAR WARS podcasters? RFR V.I.P. Peter Beisser has many questions and he's not afraid to ask them! Peter puts Jimmy Mac on the hot seat for Q&A about what goes on behind-the-scenes at Rebel Force Radio.

Wow! Great idea! Can’t wait to listen!

Jeffrey Van Dyke

Jimmy. In the after shows, there is value in doing even somewhat of a plot walkthrough from beginning to the end of the episode, because during that run-through it will prompt certain discussions which may not have been on the top off your head while just sharing general reactions.

Sean W. from Warsaw

Oh wow. I've always been afraid to ask certain questions, so this may prove an interesting topic, indeed, for knowing some of those curiosities!

Antonio from NJ

Great QA pistol Pete! Lots of good stuff and agree 100% if you aren't getting the full show videos you are missing out big time.

John Atherton

Listening while printing t-shirts in Dayton. Great ep! Thanks!

I'd like to throw it out there my age group had it worst than all of you "fans who suffered" hah. Born in 85, too late for the ot theatrical release, wasn't until specials that I saw them in theater. When prequels came out I was 13 and old enough to regrettably go on some internet fan boards. My SW came from video games, books and some comics. And all of those stories were somewhat canon but maybe not? At least you guys know a world that "unanimously" loved star wars and one without Twitter haha. To quote Bane - you merely adopted the darkness I was born in it.

Matt Rashid

I’m so glad you picked this topic, Peter! Can’t wait to listen!

Kirk Leppert

I like RFR because they don’t go recap every little part of an episode. I’ve listened to other Star Wars podcast do that, and it’s kind of pointless since I just watched the show. ps-Any relation to DVD?

Liam

Fantastic episode!

Eric from Phoenix

I love this!! Never really thought of it this way and us OT folks were definitely spoiled. It was a special time!!

Peter Beisser

Appreciate the kind feedback, all. You're the best fans out there. Gotta give props to JMac for pulling back that curtain. It was a lot of fun.

Jeff Holland

Great Q&A "Never Nicer" Beisser & JMac! Loved listening and discovering the behind the scenes stuff at RFR. Stuff I've always wondered, and now we know! And knowing is half the battle. Go Joe! LOL! The Han/Luke ~ JMac/Swank analogy is SPOT ON! I'd love to see RFR make some type of RFR coin (like the ones The Norse Legion make) with a yin/yang vibe to it with JMac (as Han) and Swank (as Luke) on it. Would be cool to have. And I've always seen Billy Mac as one half Lando and one half Chewie. Ha! Loved learning that the name Rebel Force Radio was created as JMac was dropping his kids off at the pool. LOL! I do of my best thinking doing that as well. And lastly, I've been going to movies by myself since the mid 1990s. Maybe not so much now (with the wife and kids), but I LOVED going to see movies on my own. Great job guys!

David Fieldsend

I really enjoyed this episode, thanks Peter for being bold enough to ask the questions, and thanks Jimmy for answering them!

Rob Strecker

Noticed Jimmy dropping some F-bombs in here. Was he talking with FJ beforehand? LOl

Rob Strecker

I really enjoyed this episode. Hearing more backstory of how Jimmy got involved and how him and Swank get along now was nice. Most of it I had heard before, but there were a couple things that were new.

Charles Mekealian

I just wanted to say that this was my favorite Q&A to date! They are all great but this discussion was very interesting and it was nice to hear about all of this from Jimmy’s perspective. Glad I’m a member!

David Glading

This was an amazing q&a, thanks guys!

Mark Hayes

Great show guys

Todd “Suds” Sedlacek

This was a fantastic episode! Pete asked a lot of the questions that were on my mind when I first saw the title of this episode. Great job!

Philip Eighteen

Probably the best Q&A episode yet!

Dan Onder

This was awesome. Loved the inside story.

Ryan Parker

Just adding to the "loved this episode" comment pile.

I finally got around to listening to the whole episode. It did not disappoint! I had forgotten Peter worked in journalism before, so when I heard that again all the dots were connected all of a sudden as to the nature of this episode. It honestly felt very much like Jimmy was doing a sort of casual interview with a newspaper or something. And I mean that as a compliment. Still a Q&A, but it definitely boosted it up a notch in terms of what's possible. Quite efficient use of the time available to you guys in all the ground covered. Peter did his homework in prepping, for sure! Well done on your second episode, sir! Looking forward to your next one--and I honestly think, like the Patreon member above stated, that this series of questions would actually be spot on perfect for Swank. Seriously. If you guys can make it happen, please do! Anyways, well done. :)

Joe Dallas

Hey Peter! Great episode - I really enjoyed it!

Marco Venturini

Absolutely awesome Q&A 👍🏻

Eric from Phoenix

Great discussion guys! Peter, you're a natural!! I think JMac and Swank are kind of like the odd couple. They're a perfect fit together. They have such great chemistry and that's how the good banter gets started. We totally had an empty seat for JMac and any other fan of RFR at our Scottsdale meet up. Can't wait for the next Peter (I can vouch for never nicer) discussion!

Geoff Bartlett

This was such a fun episode. I really enjoyed hearing about all of the insider baseball about RFR. Makes me want to become VIP so I can put together a list of questions for Jimmy.

Brian Robinson

Peter was really prepared, great job! I'm still a mostly audio only guy. I just find it easier to multitask while listening. If a video is on, it gets most of my attention.

Eric from Phoenix

I usually listen to the podcast while driving, walking or doing yard / house work so video isn’t an option. I do go back and watch the video to see specific things the guys are showing. For example, last week I went back and watched the bit with Michael Havens so I could see the action figure stuff.

Jeff from Valpo

Peter, really enjoyed this episode, one of the best so far! It was great how you set it up and moved it along with Jimmy. I didn’t know a lot about the past history of the show and how it evolved over time. RFR is the best and this just makes me appreciate it so much more knowing how much effort is put into each episode. Thanks to you for this Q&A. And thanks to Jimmy and Jason for all of their hard work!

ANDREW KNUDSON

Really enjoyed hearing the full history of rfr and about how the show gets done weekly. Great idea for a q&a. Thanks Peter and also Jimmy mack for opening up and sharing with all of us! Mtfbwy

Chip Orlikowski

Awesome show. Great questions and answers

Matt Rashid

Finally getting around to listening. This was a great episode, Peter. Really interesting and you’re a good interviewer. Well done!
