Ad-Free Early Bird release!

We react to recent comments from director Matthew Vaughn about his desire for an opportunity to recast and reboot the Original Trilogy story and characters. While the next STAR WARS streaming series, SKELETON CREW, is still shrouded in relative mystery, we look back at the last time lead actor Jude Law appeared on The Tonight Show and listen closely for clues about the upcoming show. Director Sean Levy is attached to an upcoming STAR WARS film and we review quotes from a recent interview he did with Variety. Just in time for Halloween,  former LANDO writer Justin Simien talks about getting ghosted by STAR WARS. We try to read between the lines. Plus, Star Wars In Pop Culture, "Chatterback Chopper", and a word unique to Star Wars has been added to the dictionary.

I don’t think Matthew Vaughn understands STAR WARS at all. Also - am I the only one tired of hearing potential directors of films? How about we actually get a real film announced with a real date?!

It happens in pro sports a lot too, where like a head coach finds out on social media or in the news that theyve been replaced. Its pretty universally regardless as a classless move though

Also, with Blake v FJ coming up it made me think of this, have you guys ever thpught of putting a highlight reel together of some of Blake’s best takes from aftershows?

Needless to say, this week's episode of RFR was bussin! (First time I've ever typed that.) 😆 In regards to Grohl, my wife saw him outside a hotel in Austin a few years back. He was having a smoke on a bench. She said we loved the band and he asked her to chat for 10 minutes. Nicest dude ever--and a SW fan to boot!

Years and years of frustration with LFLs lack of commitment and planning

It's bad business, period.

I'll wait for official press release for any related to these upcoming films.

If any director that want to make any movie. Let me create. No higher ups shouldn't be involved in storytelling or creating at all.

Man, woke up this morning to seeing this episode's title in my email...and my heart sank.... I knew it was coming eventually. Hoping and praying it doesn't go through. That would be the last straw for me, I think. Absolutely no rhyme or reason to reboot/remake the films. Haven't gotten around to listening to this yet, but I think I'll try to make it a point to make some time for this. Man, really bothered by this crap.

A palapatini must be star wars themed dirty martini.

Please don't remake the trilogy and I totally agree with Jason. New stories with existing characters that have been re-cast? Yes, if it's a good story and the characters are treated with respect and the movie / series doesn't change who they are. Levy's comments...Come on man. This isn't about you. Star Wars should be Star Wars regardless on who the writer, director, etc are on the project.
