Before / After Renders (Patreon)

As I've probably stated before in the comic production process, I generally have around 5 phases. Once the drawings are cleaned up, it's interesting how each passing process brings the world more and more alive.

Base color is the 2nd to last step before it all comes together. I find it rewarding as I reach the red ribbon finish with certain shots, as sometimes I'm not even sure what it's going to end up looking like. Outdoor shots seem to have got more difficult for me compared to interior shots. I'm honestly not sure how that flipped. Perhaps I feel more confident at mood lighting, I don't know. :P

Anyway, here are 3 before / after shots that will be upcoming in the future. I'm always trying new tricks. Sometimes it works, other times my eyes bleed. Live and learn as they say. :D
