I had to contribute my two cents for the Encanto topic. Encanto is a “good” movie thematically but musically it is not. The Colombia song sung by Carlos Vives is fun but the rest of it falls short, even Bruno. It shared a lot of similarities to Marc Anthony’s crossover record but it wasn’t the be-all end-all. When you compare Encanto to Coco, movies which both discuss Latino family dynamics, Encanto is found lacking. It definitely didn’t have the the same intention and attention paid to it that Coco did.

Just saw the live show in SF last night and listened to this recording on my drive home to Davis. Had so much fun last night and the vocals were sooo good in the recording of this Vancouver show! Loved the performances of the LIP intro song and the ending song. The live shows are so much fun :)
