Kim and Barry are together for the first time since the family learned of Kim dating Ken. Moriah attempts to break the ice and reaches out to Ethan during his road trip. Olivia extends an olive branch to Micah, hoping he will meet with her on her terms.

I have NEVER liked Moriah and I'm so happy that I'm not the only one anymore. Something about her has always annoyed me. Every single one of those Plaths are full of sh*t, their whole "you're either with me or against me" is full on CULT VIBES. With each episode that passes, I feel more and more relieved for Olivia.

I agree Moriah is insufferable. If you have to ask what to apologize for, then you are clearly not sincere about that apology. That conversation in the truck with Ethan was so frustrating. And Micah your brother just told you that Olivia was right about the credit card story so you owe her an apology too.

Matt and Jake the DUI was June 2022. She rolled her car in a ditch. She was arrested in October 2022 after the lab reports came back and her alcohol blood level was determined. It appears the show started filming after October 2022 since they focused on Christmas and the holidays. At this point it is pretty clear it will not be discussed.

If they had covered the DUI on the show, it would give some emotional equity to Barry’s anger at Kim as well as Lydia’s anger. And it does coincide with her dating Ken. I hate to say it, but Barry is well within his rights to feel some sort of way about his wife checking out, dating Issac’s boss/friend and getting into a DUI accident in a very short span of time. Other than two youngest children, everyone else knows and has to be forced to film as though Kim has not done these things in a questionable timeline. There’s literally a picture of the Plaths on Ken’s Facebook in April 2022 when Barry and Kim were still together. 10 weeks later, they announce their separation. I’m all for Barry’s anger because her narrative is that all this happened to her as if she had no part of Barry’s family domination.

Barry definitely met Ken. Ken posted a pic of “hanging with the Plaths” and Barry was there. It was when Kim and Barry were living separate in the spring of 2022, but before they officially announced their separation in June of 2022. He was there as a friend of Isaac, but he had to be seeing Kim around that time or very shortly after. So Barry probably feels like a fool for hanging out with this guy while he was interested or possibly already seeing his wife. It makes me so giddy to see Papa Plath cuckolded and seething with rage about it.

If they talk about the DUI they have to talk about why Kim was headed to Ken’s house so soon after she and Barry separated. I think this incident was the catalyst for them officially announcing their separation. The accident was June 10th 2022 and the separation announcement was just a week later. Barry won’t even talk about Ken when asked by producers. He could throw Kim under the bus, but he instead circles the wagons. I think he’s worried how Kim’s behavior reflects on him. She chose another man over him. So he will protect her to protect himself because this family refuses to face any truth ever.

I can’t even hate-watch this show anymore. I’d rather watch a spin-off of Mama Plath and Olivia on their respective single-life journeys with ZERO drop-ins from the normal cast.

As I’ve said before, I just started watching this series, binging the entire show so I could listen to Mattie & Poodle’s recaps. I find it fascinating (and definitely frustrating) watching the adult children being pulled from their separate lives, back into the family’s “covering.” (🤢) I had hoped for Ethan & Olivia to make it, but watching him, having a difficult time being a man, standing up for himself and his wife, is sad to me. I read this recently: “Ethan struggled to balance being a son to his family and a husband to Olivia, leading to further complications in their marriage. The couple announced their divorce after realizing they had grown apart and had different beliefs and values, with drama from the show adding to the strain.” I’ve always been team Olivia. Maybe it’s because I watched the series all at once, maybe not. 🤷🏼‍♀️ All I can say is Olivia is an adult with a mind of her own, highly organized, seemingly level headed, and not swayed by a clan of “fundies.” The conversation with Moria & Ethan while driving, was so revealing. Ethan caught M in lies, yet she still wouldn’t own up to it, while Micah listens on. For some reason, she really bugs me. (or as my sister would say: she gives me the rectal itch) The soft voice, almost baby talk, seems to be manipulative to get what she wants. And, I see her father is not having any issue with her wearing skimpy, revealing clothing. There. I said it.

I find it very odd that both Olivia and Moriah are bartenders and it's hardly discussed on a show that kicked off on asking these kids if they had ever had a coca cola Fully on board with the "Papa plath is paying for apartments" theory. he's so awful. I was so triggered last week when he pretended he didn't even know what Olivia's "wedding venue thing" was - clearly he was undermining her photography business

That phone call w Moriah was painful to listen to. She apologized to him which is good, but I think she is a little manipulative with her baby voice. She tries to appear innocent and soft but she's a taker all the way. Also "I didn't have money at that time" is not an excuse to not pay your bills!! Don't move to Tampa then
