Agreed! Plus, she would be bringing him into the home, and to do something so abrupt would be a massive change for anyone, especially someone who wasn’t expecting instant family. As someone who is bIack Clay mentioning black love isn't purely optics because being with someone who can understand the issues you face in the world is important and I think that's what you're missing here. Yes he is definitely a fuck boy and someone who wants to be mothered which is an issue, but wanting to be with someone who can understand what you've been through and go through (colorism, racism, issues that are rooted from enslavement - black families being torn apart and generational trauma, etc) can also exist at the same time. Black love is an important ideology which is what needs to be remembered. Also it's Chelsea and not AD who says you fucked her in this season on btw!

Generally I enjoy listening to you two chatter on about nothing before starting an episode but today I was screaming in my car "GET TO IT QUEENS" It was such a good episode I had no time for chit chat! I think Johnny didn't want to be with anyone who was "deflowered" and had a child to show for it. He wanted someone with less external evidence of prior hook ups. This is why if I had a kid and was dating I would always lead with that. Not wasting my time if they aren't interested in dating a mom.

I wasn’t talking about Chelsea, though. The whole internet has pointed how foolish that was. And the bad behavior of one person doesn’t erase someone else’s bad behavior. I’m specifically talking about Jessica because I had a different take on the situation than what I’ve seen/heard. It appeared, whether accurate or editing magic, that Jimmy was already pulling back from her and I thought presenting this thing that was supposed to be so sentimental and only for one person, felt like a desperate Hail Mary.

I understand the mothering portion as well so it makes sense, but getting to the root of his issues won't occur at all unless he has some therapy with a dark skinned black therapist honestly. And I worry about Ken and Brittany because if they stay together and have children she's really going to need to do some deep anti-racism work to raise a child that's mixed.

I totally agree. To have protected herself, I would have told him this on the second day so that neither one of them felt they were too invested - or had to reveal themselves as the “bad guy”. He did want to walk away but was very conscious of those cameras.

I was at a playground in Oxford, Ohio. I was 13.
